Cool. Water everwhere... enjoying my first visit to the Tampa/Clear Water/St.Pete area. Very nice so far. Will be going to the Aubrun Game 1Jan10 in the Outback Bowl, and, visiting DARLING prior to getting on board and departing Twin Dolphin Marina in this area, down, thru FL, up east side a bit to Ft. Pierce. Will depart if as planned on 5 or 6 Jan 2010 on the boat trip.

Enjoy today...for the weekend looks to be a bit chilly. I think that with so many dam yankees flying south that mother nature didn't want them to feel the sudden shock of a warm and sunny Florida.

Judy and I will be on Lake O this weekend exploring. Our home base will be the marina at Pahokee where I will be praticing my Mel Tillis method of communicating with the lockmasters on both ends.

Glad to see you posted your Spot link, I do enjoying keeping an eye on you...and knowing which bail bondsman is close.
 
Thanks for the notes. Man...after that Outback Bowl game and the calls at the end...I almost needed a bondsman....and a medevac.... Not a game for someone who has high BP issues....but, a great way to end the season. A wonderful, clean, friendly stadium the Tampa Buck's have.

Looking forward to getting on the boat Tuesday but first must return my wonderful bride to Nashville...and be back down with my boating stuff to start the trip.

Will do Pat, and Mike, send me your cell if you plan to be on the O next week... I think Terry/Last Dance may be down to Moorehaven area by the time we make it to that point. Will have the SPOT running.

It would appear that someone on board watched the weather forcast and decided to park for the night where they had liquid refreshments and Pizza delivery. :D
 
It sure looks like a nice trip from here. You look to be about 75 yards from the nearest watering hole. Too bad we don't have real time satellite imagery, you could wave.
 
Target. Just called in for another nights slip. 4.6' draft, 58,000 pounds ...and predicted 20 knot winds in Okeechobee.... and only 7.5' depth... well... safe to say we do not want to bounce our way over.

So, Joe's Crab Shack about 100' away.... the Publix store cross the street...so, we will not go hungry.

Hoping for updated and less wind for Sunday/Monday and we may toss the lines... or...just hang out another day. Sometimes ya just have to ruff it.

Yep, it IS a rough life, what with having to WALK 100' to Joe's Crab Shack!!! Terrible! :cry
I should have given you my $50.00 gift card (grandson's for Christmas, they know they will participate in it's demise! :D ), Byrdman! We here in frozen in Tennessee are still preparing to head south next week if the ice is gone from the Tennessee River at Decatur, Al.. Cuba Landing and Pebble Isle are frozen in and shut down so we will trailer to Decatur and start there,WX permitting. That will get us started toward the Tom-Bigby and Mobile Bay a little sooner. Ya'll take care of one another. Bail is high around that area!!!

We made a great call waiting today out tied to the dock.
Right now, reports of 18-24 knot sustained winds, with gust to 33 knots on Lake Okeechobee.
Better report for Mon/Tuesday crossing so we may depart around 8am in the morning, as to give the tide some time to put some water under the keel.

LASTDANCE/Terry... good to talk with you.... see ya late afternoon Monday if all goes well.

We just got here at Fort Myers Beach yesterday (Sat.) wish we could have been a little early to meet you all at the Mouth of the River. We have Pandy Girl with us.
We are going to go over to the Big O when it gets a little warmer, would like to look up Terry on the way if we can find out where he is located on the Water Way?

Are you going to come down by the Gulf Coast here around Fort Myers Beach? If you do we will get up you all and hang out a few days. We will be here till April 2 or a few days longer I know you & Brenda are on no time Frame, if it works out around the time we are here it would be our pleasure to take yall out for Dinner. We have an RV with us so we use Pandy Girl when the weather is OK

Great to hear ya'll are in the Ft. Myers area! B and I will have Gypsy in that vicinity at some time around March if we can get out of the ice here in Tennessee :crook We have changed shove off day to Monday, Jan. 18th from Decatur, Al.. I want to sea trial the new kicker here and be sure about the ice. We will give you two a call when we get down that way and I'll take you up on thhe dinner invite :D Be safe and stay warm :xlol
