Bunk Glides

I am curious to know what CD22 owners think of bunk glides on trailers. I have had a bit of a problem launching my CD-22 a couple of times and wonder if a set of bunk pads on the bunks would be an advantage (of course it becomes super important to keep the safety chain on!)

Our King trailer came with the black rubber sleeves over the carpeted bunks. They are not the teflon-type glides, but we have not had a problem with either the boat sticking or wanting to slide off before we're ready. And, the carpet hasn't deteriorated after 6 years (a first with any bunk trailer we've owned in the past).

I put glides on the 16 trailer and they are great. I can,t remember what company they came from, but they came out of FL. Almost like having rollers.

When (if...) you install the 'glides, do you cover the entire bunk, or just the forward portions? (I assume the aft portion would float-free sooner due to being in the water).

Best,
Casey
