Buffet

I confess, I love a good buffet. For the last few years I've just punched in "buffet" into my old Garmin Street pilot and off I went. But, apparently I've used up all those within 50 miles of 'here' and I'm not gonna lay out for a new update. So, who can add any to my list of Old Country, King Chinese, and the wonderful Golden Corral in Marysville. Help me out here. It's almost time for the senior special!

The new Chinese place on forth and a and state. It was the golden fork a long time ago but is something else now. They have a wide verity. sushi, mongolian, Chinese and a lot of sea food.

Any casinos nearby, Marty? The buffets were my favorite part of our recent time in Laughlin. Get the casino player cards and the buffets are often half price. $3.99 for an extensive breakfast buffet with omlettes made to order, another couple dozen entres, fresh fruit, baked goods, biscuits and gravy, and all the bacon and sausage you can eat! Then cross the street later and go have the prime rib buffet for $9.99. Yes, it's real prime rib that they slice off in front of you; plenty of that salad stuff, several different kinds of potatoes, chicken, ribs, desserts galore, and (for my buddy Rogerbum) fish. ;) Who says you can't come out ahead at those casinos? 8)

I can only eat like that occasionally. (no "lardass smiley" to insert here)

Best wishes,
Jim

The Muckelshoot casino has a very good buffet. Lots of good stuff. And I think they just opened a second one.

Thanks Jim! Anybody been to the buffets at Tulalip or EQC? Any others?

Tulalip Casino buffet is great. For the best money deal, go in the afternoon on weekdays and the prices are very reasonable....(especially, when compared to the "peak hour" prices!). Of course, be sure to get the senior citizen discount.

I've gazed (and thats not "grazed") at the QC casino buffet and did not observe the great variety of choices that are at Tulalip), so have never tried it.

Then there is the Angel of the Winds Casino (also known as The World's Friendliest Casino) in Arlington with their 99 cent items. (Strawberry Shortcake, Salmon and Chips, Shrimp Cocktail, and Corndog and Fries)....each for only.... did I say 99 cents. They used to offer eggs with bisquits and gravy for 99 cents also, but when they started the remodel of Katie's Kitchen they suspended that choice.

Thanks for the suggestions and reviews.
Just to bring this to a boating focus I recommend, as I have several times here over the years, the Sunday brunch buffet at Ivars Salmon House on Lake Union. It's more expensive than those mentioned above, in the low $20, I think, but it is truly a special occasion spot for us with it's waterfront view and especially the long floating dock. If you're not up for the full meghilla, you can always tie up and go around to the fish and chips bar and sit on the veranda and watch people admire your C-Dory.
Finally, there is Salty's at Alki, where the family takes Dotty each year for her birthday. Relatively expensive, but the view across Elliot bay is priceless.
