Watching the bobsleds was amazing. I can understand your pride with a relationship with an Olympic medal winner like Brian Shimer.
My daughter grew up with Julia Mancuso and are friends today. They skied together, had sleep overs as high school girls do. When I saw Julia on Larry King the other night she said she learned to ski chasing her sister on the slops of Squaw Valley. Her older sister April actuality was a better skier until April broke her back ski racing a few years ago.
Anyway, the 2010 Winter Olympics Games were a very spacial event for us as well.

And All -- Super Games. Best the Last and best Ever hockey game. (And yes Canada should win, it is their game, and yes USA did make an incredible comeback.) And wouldn't it have been fun to go on to a best 2 of 3 for that one.
