Bow Light

Hello Everyone!
Two days and 1900 miles on the road and we are finally home with our long sought after 2003 16 Cruiser!
We are having a great time becoming familiar with the boat and have spent the last week or so commissioning.
Have encountered a challenge however that handily demonstrates my lack of mechanical skills!
How on earth does one replace a bulb in the bow light? I can not figure out how to get it apart!
Any help with this seemingly simple task would be appreciated!

Hi Jim,
Formerly, we had a '99 Cruiser and not having it anymore, I'm trying to remember what steps it took to replace it. I do remember sitting on the bow of the 16 with a screwdriver loosening a screw and removing the cap. Then for some reason, I believe I had to achieve a bit of slack in the wiring in the V-Berth to the light. Then there was probably a couple of screws located in the fixture that secured the fixture to the bow that also had to be removed. Then lift the whole light fixture up in order to access the bulb from underneath the fixture to change the bulb.
Hopefully one of the current owners of a 16' can correct or verify the above procedure as it has been about 4 years since I did it and I don't have a 16' cruiser in front of me now to look at.

Thanks for your help.
Turns out there were two screws holding the fixture to the deck. I removed those screws and created some slack in the wires from below as you suggested. When I was able to turn the light over sure enough there were two screws in the bottom that held the cover and lens in place. Bulb is now changed and we're ready for some night cruising!
