First let me start by stating that I don't have any relation to Bosch, just a customer that is extremely satisfied. I just purchased my first "real" cordless drill. Yes I have had a few in the past but nothing I would consider a professional piece. This is one of their newest, with lithium ion batteries and quick charger, etc. I will be using this in one of my up coming projects and am hoping to use it long after. I just opened the package tonight, charged both batteries until full. One of the features of the batteries is a very simple tester shows how much remaining charge left in the battery. One worked the other did not, it did not however affect the actual battery. I placed a call to Bosch tonight.
First thing I noticed, the recording states,
"If you want english please remain on the line, "(then in spanish states something to which I am assuming was press two if you want spanish). Score one for Bosch! Thanks for assuming I speak english calling from the US.
I advised the help line assistant of the defect in the battery. She registered me in their "pro vantage" program. Advised me that she would transfer me to their "pro vantage" department. No wait, the next person states she will send out another battery and asks that I simply recycle the old one. No questions. Now that's what I call good old customer service. Score two Bosch! Bosch will continue to receive my business. I really liked my jig saw, now I really like my new drill too. We'll have to see how it performs, however if it's anything like my saw it will be a pleaser.
