Boaters Guide - App for exploring the Salish Sea

YES. Im sure that is what you wanted to hear. I would go with this proirity level:
1. WA State Marine parks
2. BC Marinas
3. Tides at each marina For this can a link to a good tide table work?

Thanks to all the boaters who commented and offered suggestions for improvement for the Boaters Guide App.
For the next development push, should I add:
Tides at each marina
BC Marinas
WA State Marine parks
Looking for your feedback!
Patrick

I like my opinion, but I doubt it is the only one around, so I brought this back. This app looks to be very useful. If you haven't yet, check it out.

Boaters Guide App Update:

As requested by overwhelming demand.....

- Added a tides button to every marina (except Lk Wash of course).
-- This will show tides local to the marina from TidesPro.com
- Also made a button for Marina maps
-- Shows available maps for each marina

Next up: Canadian Gulf Islands marinas.... Then look for our Boaters Guide Treasure Hunt!

Just close and relaunch the app to get the latest release.

All the best,
Patrick

PS: If you haven't downloaded yet, just go to the Apple or Google app stores. Look for Boaters Guide
We have over 1,400 downloads so far. Great response! It's free with no registration required.

Patrick, Back to the question of sending info on other marinas. It is getting toward the time of year when many will be out and about. If we had a format to send the info that might make it easier for you and help us send the right stuff. OR, to know what to look for when we are at a new place.

Since most of us are trailer boaters, I look for at a marina is IF there is a launch ramp, and IF there is a washdown facility. Might include that if possible.

For instance, I just spent a few days down at Kalama, and It's nice, pretty and clean port marina. I would note that the ramp is 2 track, and steep and usable at all tides. Also that there are 24 hour restrooms but no showers.

I really appreciate your responsiveness. You have a good thing going.

Congratulations.

Just wanted to follow up on something you posted earlier. To get the latest update, all we need to do is just close the app out, and then reopen it? It automatically checks to insure that it is running its latest software? TIA. Colby

Yes. On my iphone 12, I have to have to swipe up to get into an edit mode (not sure of the terminolgy), then swipe the app to close.
Then open the app normally from the main screen. It will display a plain looking logo screen "Find your happy place"

Hope that makes sense. Basically, rebooting the app. That gets you the latest version. Which I sometimes update several times a day.
