I live in bellingham and my 1989 C-Dory 22' Cruiser black trim was stolen from in front of my house sometime this morning. If you see one in the area please note the truck towing it and notify me.

Please tell us latter how your insurance handles the loss claim.

I often leave my boat in front of my house attached to my car. I think it may be better to detach it and put a locking ball in the trailer tongue

sorry to hear of your misfortune. you if haven't all ready., contact your insurance agency. in many states, when a vehicle or boat is stolen, the insurance company won't make a settlement until at least 30 days. this 30 days is to give the police time to recover the stolen item. if you have any questions regarding settlement, send me a message and i'll try to answer as best i can.

wishing you the best of luck

in a day or two it will turn up on the side of the road with out any motors or electronic in it.

...or in a field or a logging road...sorry about your property loss. I HATE thieves.

We're on Whidbey and will keep an eye out. So sorry to hear about it. Can you give more information, i.e. single/twins, WN#, boat name, type of trailer, Trailer lic. No. You might notify the Border patrol in case it is headed for Canada

That is terrible news..the person(s) that took it should be hanged. They are not just stealing property by something that you love and worked hard to obtain. Hope everything works out for you ...insurance wise. Tug

State or Province: WA
C-Dory Year: 1989
C-Dory Model: 22 Cruiser
Power: Johnson 70HP
Color: Black

No HIN number in his profile but a 70HP on a black 22 shouldn't be too hard to spot.

Am presently in Miami waiting for a plane to Richmond, if I got this far, I'll look for it... :disgust Good luck!! Let us know.

I just went out and (belatedly) put a coupler lock on my 22's trailer. Sure hope they find your boat soon, and in good shape!

The boat was recovered, that was my old motor i had listed on craigslist. I had just put a new mercury fourstroke on it. They tried to steal the motor but could not lift it. It was on the ground behind the boat. They took out all the electronics though and gutted the wiring. A farmer found it in his field up in ferndale. Thanks for keeping an eye out.

Boat where it was found in ferndale. Thanks to Whatcom county sheriff and ferndale police.

This type of thing really makes my blood boil!!! We can't do anything in todays world without thinking in terms of protecting our property. I guess I won't say what should be done to the @#*+!%#@ thieves. Glad you got your boat back and I hope they didn't mess it up too bad. Part of the problem is, if they do catch them, their punishment probably won't be stiff enough to deter them/others the next time.

Can I call it or what? :|

Hopefully, the POS's responsible didn't mess it up too badly and hopefully they blew out a disc lifting that engine.

I assume the Deputy processed it for prints? If they did, keep records, get copies of case reports and FOLLOW-UP via phone w/ the detective assigned. Make sure he/she knows you WILL assist in prosecution and do whatever they request (insurance forms, proof of value etc).

Did I mention I HATE thieves? (We need a hang-man emoticon...or maybe a chopped-off hand emoticon).

And one of the last things I do when we get back from trips is to put a coupler lock on the trailer; ALWAYS.
