Blake Island - State Park Requirements?

We are heading over to Blake Island on Saturday to overnight for a few days.
Is there anything we need, State Park wise, before we go? Permits? Or, can we just pay our moorage fee when we get there?

Thank you,
Jeff and Julie

Hi Jeff and Julie, you can pay as you go at the State Parks for moorage. Or if you plan on using the Parks a lot you can purchase an annual moorage permit at $3.50/ft. You should be able to purchase an annual permit at Blake from the Ranger or you can purchase it online and you'll get a temporary to print until you receive your decal in the mail.

Have fun.

If it is a WA state marine park you can either pay a yearly fee to moor at any of the state parks or pay as you go. I think it is $10 a night on a dock or buoy, or you can get a yearly pass and just fill out the form with your permit number. If you are going to use park facilities more than about 7 times in the upcoming year you are better off getting the annual permit. You can get this online at the WA State website and print out a temp permit you can use immediately while waiting for your boat sticker.

Hope that helps. Have a great week-end.

Thank you all very much for the information. We may just look into getting that year pass.
Pat, we may try anchoring out one of these times. We are very inexperienced with anchoring and need to practice more.
