Bennett troubleshooting - no HPU sound

I couldn't find my exact problem anywhere on the internets, thought I would try in case someone had a similar issue. After getting annual servicing and towing 6 hours up my summer marina I found:

- the trim indicator is blinking on one side
- when pressing the bow up or down there is a click sound but no HPU sound--so it seems like the servo is working but not the motor
- and of course with no HPU there is no hydraulic and no tab movement
- the unit is from 2007 (v351 hpu)

I didn't have time to pull the unit to investigate on my last trip. I'm considering just buying a new HPU before my next trip up north because it seems the most likely culprit, but they aren't cheap (about $500). Could it be anything other than a dead HPU? Something like a bad connection issue on the back of the unit, or is that pipe dreaming? Thanks for any tips.

First thing I would do is check the power to the pump, before the relay, then after the relay. There may be a fuse or breaker on the higher power to the pump.

Which unit do you have? Check my thread at: http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?t=31455

In the end, Bennett sent me a new Relay module. I'm not home right now to check into it, but if your relay module is bad, I've got one I'll sale you. I ended up upgrading to a different system. That was after I realized what I had was still under warranty. While Bennett couldn't see selling me something that was on backorder everywhere, they were able to send it out to me asap when it was a warranty issue... Colby

Thanks for the advice Thataway and Colby. I guess I should be able to pin it down to either the relay, the connector, or the HPU. If it looks like a relay I'd love to buy your's Colby. It sure looks the same, the only model number I know for certain is the the "v351" stamped on the HPU.
