Bellingham Gathering folks

Hi, you all,
This is Lyle & Janda Raker, the folks from Texas, who were bothering you all about finding and learning all about C Dories, especially 16 ft cruisers. We really enjoyed getting to meet so many of you in Bellingham and getting to see your boats. We did buy the See-Saw in Santa Fe, NM. It is listed in the photo album under that name.We took it to Lakes Cochiti, Abiqui, and El Vado, In northern NM. We are taking it out on Lake Meredith here in the Texas Panhandle on weekends now. We are really enjoying the boat. And we are getting lots of interesting reactions from the people in New Mexico and Texas--people calling it the S.S. Minnow, running up to have their pictures taken with it, etc. Hopefully we will do a bunch of trips across the country next year and show up at other gatherings too.

Congratulations Lyle and Janda. It was a pleasure meeting you both at Bellingham. I enjoyed hearing all of your land camping stories and know that trailering the 16 footer will be the perfect addition to your traveling lifestyle.
 
Welcome aboard fellow Texans! Yes, these boats get a lot of attention, especially in areas away from the PNW where they aren't seen so often. The 16 has that "cute factor" going for it in spades, and it is approachable. Hope you find it to be just right for your traveling style.

Lyle and Janda, congrats on your new acquisition. Next summer, you'll have to bring it up with you to the next B'ham CBGT. It was great meeting you last summer and the beer you left with us was shared with others and made it up to Canada with us for the Gulf Island Cruise... :D

It was our pleasure having you join us for the Bellingham CBGT this past August. We'd wondered from time to time what decision you might have made in purchasing a C-Dory, so do appreciate the update. We know there will be many hours of enjoyment with your C-Dory. Congratulations!
