As many of you know, our own "BC" Ken Ecklund is a charter boat captain for Eagle Charters at Elfin Cove Alaska. He was seen on the fishing show "The Joy of Fishing" this morning on the Root Sports channel. His segment introduced him and showed him holding the show's host 130lb Halibut. Very cool Ken!!! We're in the midst of a TV star!

Elfin Cove looks like a really cool place. I'm going to have to add it to bucket list.

I think Ken has done about 4 seasons as a charter boat captain at Elfin Cove.

It's his retirement supplement/second vocation job.

thanks, ya, Elfin Cove is a special spot. Those folks came up to do some filming my first year up there. They where hoping to produce a collection of fishing shows and someday market them to a network. I run into Wayne at the sportsman show every year, it was kind of neat to see the series develop and that they finaly hit the big time....that first summer I thought they where just a couple of yahoos with a camera scamming a free trip but as it turns out they crank out one of the best fishing shows on the tube.

It looks like I'll be reporting for duty again next month
