this the same as my 27 but with a different motor bracket. I would love to see pictures of the inside. it state's in the ad that it has a fridge . I would love to see where they have it mounted. someone should buy this boat.
If you have a 22 or even a 25 and would like the room of a 25 or 27 tug but cant afford the 150k, then this is the next best thing.

I paid quite a bit more for my boat.
 
I believe the cabin in the 27's is about the same size as in the 25's and that the the boats are essentially 25's with 2 extra feet in the cockpit. It does say it has an electric head with a holding tank. Doesn't mention a shower but I'd be surprised if it didn't have one or if it wasn't easy to add one. The water system is pressurized as he makes mention of a new pump in 2009.
 
I have not measured it but the berth in our 25 sleeps two adults and one kid with room to spare. It is very wide and long enough for me to stretch out on the non-helm side and I am 6'3" tall. The wiring on the other side behind the helm encroaches on the length a bit so that is not my side.
 
I can only tell you about my boat , which is the same model but may not have the same set up. the berth is much larger in length and width. Iam 6 ft even and I can lay out in either direction in the berth. the ceiling in the berth is also higher which makes getting in and out of the bed a lot easier. the table is a four man table because the door on the cabin is off set to one side which allows for a larger table and a larger head, which is on the same side.

The head is larger then the new 25's or the tom cat. we can get your pants up and down with our opening the door, something I have a problem with on the tomcats and Susan cant do at all on the tom cats. across from my head is a full 6ft tall closet that allows for a ton of storage. My boat has more storage then I know what to do with. take a look at that boat or if your closer to me take a look at mine, you wont regret it.
 
Some will say that its just a longer 25 and i think that is misleading, unintentional. on a new 25 the walk way is down the middle of the cabin which leave room for a smaller table and a larger cooking area. on this model, if its the same as mine, This allows for not only a larger table with even more storage under the table but a larger head ( see above post for commits). but it goes beyond that the extra closet and and storage under the rear of the berth is amazing. the water tank is located in the bow, mine is 20 gallons I might try to increase that.

then there is the back deck. in a new 25 you have a lot of room being use as a splash well. two ft or more. I don't have a splash well. so with that 2 ft plus the extra 2 ft in length I end up up with almost 4 extra feet on the deck. My deck is 9 1/2 ft from rear bulkhead to Stern. On top of that is the 6 ft by 6 1/2 foot by 24 inch height of the storage hold under the rear deck. I currently have

1 large folding table
1 small folding drink table
4 chairs
2 crab pots
1 hose rail with 800 ft of line
1 ace line hauler
1 round bbq
2 large milk crates with fishing gear
2 large milk crates with tools / other odds and ends
1 large ice chest
plus gods knows what else.
 
I've got a 1997 Yamaha 200 on a Whaler, which is the same engine as the one on this C-Dory I think. Mine is a carbeurated 2 stroke, as I recall only the 225 and 250 from 1997 were equipped with EFI. The engine has been totally reliable for 14 years. It can be a bit tough to start when it's cold and like most old tech 2 strokes is smelly and smokey. At 4000-4200 rpm it burns 10-12gph.
 
I have to observe that the Yamaha OX-66 V6 motors are probably the ultimate evolution of the classic two-stroke outboard. They feature electronic fuel injection with a closed loop system employing an oxygen sensor. I do not recall any other two-stroke motor that had this refinement. They also had a very reliable and relatively trouble-free oil mixing system which used electrical pumps to lift the oil to the motor and a gear-driven (all-steel gears) mixing pump. The rest of the motor was the typical well-designed and high-quality outboard that gave Yamaha market leadership in saltwater V6 markets like Florida and the Carolinas. Their water pump impellers and propeller shaft seals would last for a decade. Their instrumentation was top-notch, and provided visual annunciators for various alarms to help distinguish the intended meaning, as well as an aural alarm. The started easily and ran smoothly. And their size was in proportion to the other outboard motors of the day.
Those OX-66 motors were very fine outboards!

Talked to John, the owner, tonight. Very knowledgable PNW boater. Assured me the berth was no higher than a 22'.
Great guy to talk to. Off market while trying to help a couple Alaskans who couldn't come up with the money. Wants it gone for a down payment on a new boat.
He watches you and wonders why you don't call when you have questions.
 
Uhhh, just for the heck of it :roll: what is the overall length of your boat and trailer, Tom? We bought a house tonight and need to build a boat barn.

Gotta plan for any situation, ya know. 8)
 
Curious what folks think of this boat as a tuna and halibut fishing vessel off the Oregon/WA Coast? Anyone have experience with this older flat stern style, loooong boat in say 2-3' wind chop on a moderate (6 foot or so) swell?

Starcrafttom, what do you tow your 27' with? We have a 1st generation Toyota Tundra with the smallish (4.7 liter) v8, and I'm thinking it may not be up to the task.

My wife and I are considering upgrading from out little 17' Arima to something bigger that we could moor in Newport or Ilwaco, and overnight on on the weekends between fishing/crabbing excursions. I'd like to be able to fish tuna during July/August/September. We were going to put it off for a few more years, but seeing this boat at this price is tempting!
 
I tow with a f350 4x4 because i have it. I don't know if you could get by with less and I have now first hand experience with the Toyota v-8. I have not weighed my boat yet but i would guess 10% more then a new 25 as a half as guess.

I find that the long boat handles the 2 to 4 fters much better then the 22 did. it has the length to span close spaced waves and the weight to ride thur in the water as apposed to on the water if that makes sense. I have bounced off of waves in the 22 and I now plow threw those same size waves now.
 
foggy, I measured the boat today and it came out to 41 and 1/2 ft from the tip of the hitch to the end of the prop with the engine in the down postion. and its 11 ft from the ground to the top of the radar dome.
