I have been reading the thread about design practices, I have only one comment. We just recently outfitted a new 16-C, which included using a hole saw in both gunnels, the foredeck and cutting a large hole in the forward interior bulkhead. Also miscellanious small holes in the transom and console. I found absolutely no voids in the lay-up whatsoever. I have had encounters with this problem on Boston Whalers and Pacific Seacraft boats that we have had before. This may seem un-related but from a labor/cost standpoint, this is a very costly part of building a boat. I do not think C-Dory is perfect, I have found minor imperfections on details of C-Squirt. My point is, if they don't scrimp on labor intensive parts of construction, I do not think they would try to save a small number of dollars on fuel tank materials. Sea Wolf, this was not directed towards you, I just got sidetracked (I just got home from 12 hrs. of parts mngmnt. training). I saw your' photo up-dates and am really curious about your' pocket yaght that fits in a sub-compact truck!
