Apalachicola gathering

I put about 150 photos (of 600 taken) on the "Thataway" album. When we get a gathering album, I will post a few (in chronological order--sorry about the confusion in as they were posted--never use a new camera when you are taking a lot of photos!)

We always seem to have folks who travel half way across the country for these gatherings--and their attendance is one of the very special things which makes it so much fun. They also foster the gatherings in their specific area, and we are going to try and attend the Mississippi and Carolina gatherings next year as a result of talking to folks from those areas.

To say THANK YOU is not enough for another Rivercrest adventure. I took Anita's coffee out on the veranda and looked east as the sun's orange glow introduced another morning in the tropical forest near Apalachicola. In lingering pace I saw the sun peaking through the palm trees as a gray squirrel dropped acorns on the porch, an owl flys over the cannal, and small fish break the mirrored water as the tide goes out, a scene not ordinary for Arkansas Cotton Choppers. Man oh Man it don't get no better than this.
