Good Morning, I am currently in the market for a 22 ft cruiser and actually have an excepted offer pending inspection down in California. However my wife has never seen a cruiser and as you can imagine she is not feeling to comfortable with the offer. I was wondering if there is anyway possible anyone would be willing to let us come take a look at there boat to ease her mind a little bit. We are leaving to pick up the boat on the 28th if all goes well. We are located in Port Orchard WA and would love to come take a look one evening after work or possibly over the weekend depending on distance but we are running out of time.

Thanks

Hi Ranger, and Welcome.

Congrats on the offer for the new to you 22. (Has a nice ring to it doesn't it

I live up in Sequim, and would be happy to share a visit. It may be a ways for an after work drive but I bet we can work something out. We have a bit of time before the 28th.

My boat is a 06 22 Cruiser with twin 40 Yamaha's. When I got it it had some very nice custom cabinetry done by the original owner so there will be some differences, but it will be shaped the same, the interior dimensions will still be the same, and the seating, table and galley will be pretty close.

If you don't get a closer offer, or even if you do, I would be glad to get together and share.

You are welcome to call the number below or PM.

Same as Paul and Harvey, C-Dancer will be on a work stand at Twin Bridges Marina which is up north between Mount Vernon and Anacortes on Hwy 20 this weekend. You're welcome to take a tour.

I'm in Spanaway and am willing to let you poke around C-Dawg. I'll be out of town most of Saturday, but should be around Sunday afternoon.

I gotta be honest and let you know she's not cleaned and polished yet for the upcoming season, so you'll have to look past that. :)

Everyone thanks for the overwhelming response. It is much appreciated. I am looking forward to the opportunity to go see the SleepyC this weekend and look forward to seeing you all on the water.

And you're going to see a boat owned by one of the nicest guys on here!

One of the biggest benefits to the C-Dory is that you can configure the interior any way you want. Leave it spartan and bare, set it up for fishing, set it up for comfort and cruising. If the goal is to appease the wife, make sure you go through some of the photo albums of a bunch of 22s on this site. Everyone has their boat set up differently. What might appeal to someone who only day fishes may not be what your wife is looking for in order for you to seal the deal. Or maybe it is. Whatever your wife is in to, you'll probably see a 22 set up for that.

Harvey's is a great boat with slick electronics. I'm also fond of the way Nick / Marcia have theirs set up on Valkyrie. Check out his photos too:

Rob, Thank   This place is full of really nice folks and great boats and Rob's is one of the really nice setups.

It's all personal preferences. And it's all fun.

Sunday afternoon we had a nice chance to talk C-Dory (and bass boat) for a while. Mark and Carol came up and made a day of the trip, got a chance to look over a 22 Cruiser and we had an interesting visit. Some cool boat stories going both ways, and it sounds like they are on their way south to pick up a good boat. Certainly want to wish them luck on the trip, safe travels and hope to see them on the PNW waters soon.

Thanks George, Always fun to talk C-Dory. And to meet new friends. Nice young couple with some interesting stories of their own.

Hope to see you up on the Island sometime later.
