Any CD owners from Mass. here? I'll be be taking the 16 to my parents summer home this weekend. I can't believe summer is almost over...
Anyway, I'll be launching in Buzzards Bay on Saturday a.m and will be out and about all weekend. My last cruise was from Onset to Sandwich via the CC Canal. It was about 17 miles round trip. I'd love to try and make it to the Martha's Vineyard this year but I've never been and would be great if we had a couple of boats all going together. From my research online and The Hull Truth site I've been gathering that the trip to MV could be a little "interesting" on a small 16. Big waves, tidal changes and wind. I'm up for a challenge and will eventually do it alone but I need more boat time and navigating experience.
If I don't do the MV trip then I'll just stay in Buzzards Bay and explore some of those small inlets, coves. I'll definitely do the Cape Cod Canal again too. That's awesome.
Now I'm just hoping for good weather! Weather looks great now but we're still 4 days away.
