Thanks for the info on the Canadian regs. They do make sense. I guess for once, I accidentally ordered the right thing. I do owe you guys for the great write-ups and photos. In addition to learning more about the electric over hydraulic, reading of your ability to slow cruise on a single engine was a deciding factor in choosing the TomCat over the C-Ranger.
 
Hey Brent & Dixie. Thanks for the emai.. Yes.. Jan/Feb in FL sounds great. We may also toss out some dates for another Nashville area gathering. Some of the "snowed in" folks expessed an interest last year in at least flying down.... so... TN/FL area would be good... and...in TN...it is still possilbe for a real cold snap. 1st trip out on my TC24 after towing back from Oak Harbor WA ...launched the boat in 18 degrees. Next morning, 15 degrees....but the wallas had the interior nice and cozy...the river was flowing nice....but I did forget to take in the fenders....that with forward motion and splashing turned to 4 large ice chunks smaking the boat.... Learning curve in full force. But...it ended up being a great day...or week.

Let's keep tossing dates for the JAN/FEB timeframe....somewhere down here...or...we may be forced to put in Nashville...and take a week long cruise down the river systems to the Gulf... Humm
