Dahon 7 speed, 20" wheels, 27 lbs. Very good condition, $125

This bike listed for $489 new. It's a great solid bike but I use my Brompton with 16 inch wheels with the boat and on bike paths so the Dahon has to go. Pick up in Sammamish (Seattle Eastside). Thanks

Uh, Dave, if you can't get the first one unfolded, what makes you so sure you can figure out the second?

This has to be a Brat record: For Sale notice posted, followed 11 minutes later by an email from Rev. Dave and the bike is sold :!: Maybe this will be the beginning of good fortune for others with items for sale...

Wouldn't it be something if he got the two folded together and couldn't use either of them until Jessica got home and showed him how to work the things?

Mike, that would only happen if they were COMPUTERIZED models.

The Story ('er bike) As It Unfolds

For those of you "listeners" that are wondering why I was so quick to jump on the fine offers of two folding bikes.....it became apparent to me that if I only purchased one, then Carol would always be riding it when we get to port. I on the otherhand would have had to RUN behind her....hence it was imperative that I immediately reply to the sellers and purchase two folding bikes. :wink

What a fine group of C-Brats! :thup

But at least you would be knowledgable in giving yourself CPR while running behind her. Heck, with the shape you are in you could probably run in front of her. You don't need that extra bike.

Maybe we should not pick on Dave too much. He had some rough childhood experiences with bikes and trikes and such.

Tyboo knows me well. I've always had problems with the front tires on all the bikes and cars I've owned. But the best part is that the so-called round tires that they've placed on my vehicles now-a-days, have only been flat on the bottom.....
I am sincerely hoping that these here fold-em-up bikes don't have those same flaws.

Dave-

Here's a big round wheeled bicycle for you...or at least the one wheel is round anyway:

You'll have to add your own red flashing lights and siren, though..

Now THAT would be a ride! I'd certainly look a lot better on that, than on that wimpy square wheeled tricycle that Tyboo posted.

Hmmmm.......wonder if that "big round wheeled bicycle" would fit on our C-Dory.

This morning after getting off work I hurried home to do a few quick chores, then headed South in the van. As I neared Bellevue, I called daughter Jessica on the phone and she said that she had just completed dancing at the dance studio and would be delighted to join me. We met in Bellevue and then continued on together to Marty and Dotty's house where we received a lesson from Marty on unfolding and folding bicycles. We then traveled with Marty and Dotty to the Snoqualmie Falls Brewery Pub where Pat A. joined us for a tasty lunch (since, I wasn't driving then, I sampled one of the nitro beers.....excellent as always). After a tour of the brewery, we sent Pat back to work so he could continue to make money so Patty can live in the manner that she is accustomed to. We then drove to view the famed Snoqualmie Falls. Jessica told me that she didn't remember being there before, however Carol later reminded me that one time she was there when she was little and she rolled her head up in the car window.... :crook .....perhaps that is why she doesn't remember it....
Upon my arrival home after our outing, I unfolded the bicycle in Carol's presence and proceeded to ride it on our patio. Then she started making wisecracks that I looked like a clown in a circus act and various other similar type remarks. Towards the end of my approximate five minute ride on the patio, while being barraged with jestful comments, she said. "well you haven't fallen off it yet".
So what appears to be a simple purchase of a bicycle has turned into the possible opportunity for me to become a circus performer when I retire from my current occupation.... :smilep

Many thanks to Marty, Dotty and Pat (and Jessica too) for a delightful afternoon at the Pub and to Marty and Dotty for the "fold 'em up" bicycle.

Thanks to all of you C-Brats that have continued to give me the "verbal" support I've needed in this venture. :wink

This whole thread has been a great ride!
