This morning after getting off work I hurried home to do a few quick chores, then headed South in the van. As I neared Bellevue, I called daughter Jessica on the phone and she said that she had just completed dancing at the dance studio and would be delighted to join me. We met in Bellevue and then continued on together to Marty and Dotty's house where we received a lesson from Marty on unfolding and folding bicycles. We then traveled with Marty and Dotty to the Snoqualmie Falls Brewery Pub where Pat A. joined us for a tasty lunch (since, I wasn't driving then, I sampled one of the nitro beers.....excellent as always). After a tour of the brewery, we sent Pat back to work so he could continue to make money so Patty can live in the manner that she is accustomed to. We then drove to view the famed Snoqualmie Falls. Jessica told me that she didn't remember being there before, however Carol later reminded me that one time she was there when she was little and she rolled her head up in the car window.... :crook .....perhaps that is why she doesn't remember it....
Upon my arrival home after our outing, I unfolded the bicycle in Carol's presence and proceeded to ride it on our patio. Then she started making wisecracks that I looked like a clown in a circus act and various other similar type remarks. Towards the end of my approximate five minute ride on the patio, while being barraged with jestful comments, she said. "well you haven't fallen off it yet".
So what appears to be a simple purchase of a bicycle has turned into the possible opportunity for me to become a circus performer when I retire from my current occupation.... :smilep
Many thanks to Marty, Dotty and Pat (and Jessica too) for a delightful afternoon at the Pub and to Marty and Dotty for the "fold 'em up" bicycle.
Thanks to all of you C-Brats that have continued to give me the "verbal" support I've needed in this venture. :wink
This whole thread has been a great ride!
