Anchor Shade by Taylor Made

I'm looking for a budget solution for canvas. My boat is kept in the water year round. Any C-Brats have experience with the Anchor Shade by Taylor Made. I am considering the Anchor Shade as a cruising solution for sun protection for my no longer youthful skin, and then getting just a cockpit cover for protecting the open cockpit in the winter - or any other ideas?
 
I saw some people use them on CD-25s at the Chesapeake gathering. They
liked them.

We tried one on a CD-22 and I didn't like it so much. I think
the problem is the lack of beam, so I had trouble getting the pole stable.
It felt like it would fall over in a slight wind.
