DoD,
I'll echo Beer Thirty, EEEECCCCHHHHOOOOOO. I've got to run off to Wash D.C. for a conference. If they'd only pay me to fish.....

Can't make it Dan. Committed in Ninilchik for the weekend. We'll be in Port Nellie Juan/Derickson Bay around Memorial Day weekend.

Let me know what you discover down at Green. I want to hit that in September or early October.

Aw man! :cry
House projects, boat projects that I put off too long, yard projects...
Who said retirement is a time to slow down?
We won't get down to PWS until late May or early June.
But we'll get there.
Have a great float, Dan
Pat

Thanks for the report, Dan. It didn't hurt us that much not getting out on the water, I guess.
By the way, who does the service on your Suzuki?

So far that would be me. Haven't required anything but oil/filter changes so far. This weekend I did have to fix the fuel pump on my kicker. I had noticed gas in the water every time I started the little bugger but had never paid that much attention. This weekend I pulled the cover off of it for some reason (can't remember what I was doing) and pulled the crank cord. Noticed fuel dripping out the side of the engine. Pulled the pump apart and found a manufactured flaw in a gasket surface that has obviously been there since day one. Fixed it pretty easily and was back in business in just a few minutes.

It's a good thing the leaking gas had a pretty clear path out the bottom of the housing or I probably would have had a fire a long time ago.

My plan if I do need serious work done is to carry it to one of the local Johnson dealers. They are the same engine. If I have any warranty issues there will probably be no choice but to take it to Big Lake. They are the only Suzuki dealer in the state.
