a week at PNW oceanfront

Since it is your 50th year you can be daring and fly to BWI, Dulles or Salisbury MD and drive to Bethany Beach DE and stay at an ocean front B&B.

I can give you a list of fine dining establishments and if we are in town invite you to drinks at the local VFW post which has one of the premier pieces of property on the Delaware shore or to our recently acquired vacation/retirement home in the adjoining town of Ocean View.

Thanks Bill, for the suggestions and the memories. When we lived in NJ Dotty and I really enjoyed taking the Cape May-Lewes ferry and exploring the Delaware Bay and seashore. We also know well Salisbury from our many trips up and down Rt. 13 to visit relatives in the Poquoson/Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I can even remember the ferry where the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel now stands. We have been out here in the beautiful PNW for about eight years and there is much of it we have not yet seen. For that reason, I think we will limit our week off to visiting the Pacific Coast. But, again, thanks for thinking of us, and for the memories.

As an Oregon native, UW attendee and Northwestern School of Law grad, I can empathise with the desire to see more of the Pacific coast.

That drive on 13 from Norfolk to Newark DE did get boring some times back in 1969/1970 when I had to take my new bride home to see her mother - -at least we had the bridge and tunnel.

I have done almost every mile of both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and a lot of the Gulf -- they are all good!
