On their CBS Sunday Morning show. 9:00am Eastern. So, you folks in the later time zones may get a chance to see it. The canal is celebrating its 200th anniversary. A true American Treasure, it changed the way commerce was done at the time. It took 8 years to complete and was dug entirely by hand.
We have been land traveling this summer - the past couple weeks in New York State, including time in the Finger Lakes and Erie Canal areas, and now in the 1000 Islands area.
The perspective from land traveling vs C-Dory cruising is certainly different. Got a boat? The Erie Canal is a piece of history that you can travel through!
