Tracy ~ Don't fry it. Just put it on toast with mayo, cheese and tomato.

There is NO comparison between bologna and lebanon bologna. That is like comparing a VW to a Mercedes!

If you've never had it you will not believe how good it is. :)

I'll be in Oriental all week. I will have ONE pound of Lebanon Bologna to spare. Tell Carrie to bring a toaster to their shop and we'll have lunch one day!

Or y'all just come to my condo in Oriental. I have a toaster and all the fixings... :D:D:D

with spark plugs going for 30.00 dollars apiece in redding CA the 90 hp cost me over 300.00for the 100 hour toys do cost, but arent they nice to have for us old men :xlol :xlol

Update on James...

As previously posted I spoke with James on Saturday, February 14th. While we were talking a lady on a nearby boat asked James if he wanted a ride to the grocery store.

James accepted the offer and told me he would call me back later.

Several days later I realized James never called me back so I called him just to see if he was OK.

James told me that when he returned from the grocery store he attempted to put the bag of groceries on his boat. The bag fell into the water.

James tried to rescue the groceries and he fell into the water as well. He held onto the dock when he fell and ended up pulling his arm out of the socket.

Later that evening he was taken to the hospital to have his arm put back into the socket.

Without going into too much detail I will say he is now planning to stay at Ft. Pierce Marina until March 13th.

If anyone who knows James would like his cell number please PM me. I'm sure he would appreciate hearing from you.

Ask him if he has met Fox Watkins on the Ruby Gene at the Tiki Bar . He is a charter captain and lives on his boat right behind the bar [very convenient] in the City Marina in Ft Pierce . A character and a half .Unofficial mayor of the marina. Sounds like they may get along real well!

Oh no ! Poor James..he just can't catch a break ! I thought he was back in Oriental by now! Next time you chat with him please let him know we are thinking about him . It's painful just to read ! I can't imagine how much that hurt..poor guy. Let us know if we can do anything from here for him. Take care, Tracy

Ouch! Sounds painful, but to a certain degree I can relate. Last fall, I was giving Valkyrie her last coat of wax before winter lay-up (she was on the trailer in the driveway) and just finished the roof. I had a death-grip on the radar arch with one hand and was stepping onto the wet fender when my foot slipped. I held onto the arch, which stopped my fall, but overextended my arm, resulting in avery painful rotator cuff injury. Actually, it was so painful that I looked at my reflection in the house window to see how it was hanging, suspecting a dislocation. Even with therapy for all of these months, I still don't have full range of motion.

Hope our fellow Brat is doing okay.

I spoke with James earlier this evening...

Marc ~ James said he has seen the boat but has not met Fox (yet).

Tracy ~ I told James you mentioned him and wished him all the best.

Nick ~ I agree. In 1985 I separated my right shoulder & broke my right collar bone. Most painful experience in my life, and I've broken a lot of bones in my time! That is why I advised James to make arrangements to stay where he is for a few more weeks.

Pat ~ I agree. I have said for years that I feel bad for people who have accidents or get sick while traveling. I may be a sissy but anytime I get sick the only place I want to be is home in my own bed. Then again I reckon his boat IS his home.

And for everyone ~ James & I have had a LOT of great conversations since he left Oriental. I asked him if he is taking notes in a journal and he said no, but he is writing things down on pieces of paper now & then.

Of course I gave him heck for that and told him that when I sailed I always kept a neat journal with dates and times of the events I recorded.

I asked him if he is taking lots of pictures and we sort of had a lot of dead cell phone time. LOL

I admire James. He is doing what most of us only dream about. :D
