FYI: This morning, in the Anchorage paper(boats), I saw a 27' C-Dory, rear cabin (read bow picker), V-6 Volvo-Penta w/ outdrive in excellent condition for sale.

Anyone interested in a backwards boat...........there it is.

And.....I am still looking for a used 25' CD.

Jack-

I'm not interested in the boat as in to buy it, but would like to know what the price is, just for curiousity's sake. Do you know? Thanks, Joe.

I'd like to see a photo of it... but not to buy... 'just bought a boat...

John

isn't that how it always starts, just curious :) Ya know Joe, that boat would be a handy crew boat for that business idea we where kicking around. With the passangers riding froward a person could keep an eye on them better :)

it would be a curiosity to see how much that sold for...what would a person do with it, other than fishing?

Sea Wolf...
I should have put it in the 1st post.

The add says $16,500 OBO. Includes a tandem axle trailer.

My neighbor in Ninilchik has a 32' bow picker that he used for commercial fishing. No longer has a permit so he uses it for sport fishing now trolling for king salmon...BACKWARDS. It look funny but it works for him.

Jack-

Thanks! Not bad for a boat that originally sold for $18,180 in 1983! (w/o trailer, and not couning in inflation).

Here a LINK to the discussion we had about that boat a couple of weeks ago for more details and a photo.

Not a bad idea, a "cattle hearder" would fit perfectly in our business plans and profit scheme!

However, the Gill Netter, also known as a BOW PICKER, might itself be more comfortable on Dr. John's family farm out in the middle of Kansas. Cheaper than a 2007 harvester, fer sure!

Joe.

Do you think they'd take a baler in on trade? I have to admit, that is quite an interesting setup they have. John
