24 TomCat on C-Dory Website

While at the Seattle boat show I talked to Jeff Messmer and told him how much I appreciated them leaving the all the options, specs, and performance numbers on the C-Dory website for the TC24 Tomcat. It really helped us last year when we bought our boat.

Well soon after, Jeff left C-Dory and all reference to the TC24 was removed shortly after, kind of. It was all still there on their website (still is) there just wasn't a link to it. So I found it all myself and downloaded it to my computer using Microsoft FrontPage.

So I now have the articles, performance and specs, is there anything that could be done with all this info? Could it be posted on the C-brat site? Would C-Dory give permission for this? Does anyone really care about any of this information???

Open for thoughts.

I would convert it to pdf files. It might take one or more depending of the file size. Who wants a 160Mb PowerPoint file I received in March? and converted to pdf the size was 533 Mb.!!! geez

Just use your word processor for layout and formatting then convert to pdf. If you have alot of tiff images then convert them to another format.
I still use irfanview.

I like OpenOffice suite and use a free pdf Win print driver at work and will post the name later and have full version of Acrobat 4 and 7. I guess I am not a power user b/c I dont purchase the latest greatest upgrade.

I would like a copy of the finished project and would be glad to assist.

Brent, I'm really not sure what to do with all this information. I just thought it should be archived before it is gone for good. I don't think I'm as computer savvy as you.

Here is the link to the TC24 info still on the C-Dory website, but no longer linked from the Home Page

http://www.c-dory.com/TomCat%2024.htm

Let me know if you decide to do anything with it. I'd be intrested in knowing, I just hate to see it disappear.

nonsense I think my reply was poor b/c I thought you had the files of your PC and didnt know the TC page was still posted. me bad None the less, I saved the TC web site with links and pics intact. The folder size is 7Mb. I can zip it to a single file about 6Mb and can email it if anyone would like it. Just unzip to a new folder such as TC24
then click on index.html file. Should work like the web page.

I took an archive of the site a few minutes ago. We may not ever be allowed to
post the TC-24 info, but we can legally pass it around among ourselves.

I won't have time to do anything useful with the pages such as make a pdf
for a while. I did use an option that changes the HTML on the pages to
make all the IMG links, etc work correctly. I ran:

/usr/local/bin/wget --recursive --convert-links -K -p http://www.c-dory.com/TomCat%2024.htm

which sucked down the whole site because there were links to the
home page on the tc-24 pages.

If anyone would like a copy, I can email you a compressed zip or tarball. It is
7.5MB, uncompressed.

This also gives us the original Decraguard style CD-22, etc web pages.
