I sent you an email, but no response, so here is the message I sent:

I saw your Venture 23 listed for sale on C-Brats. Some questions:

What navigation equipment do you have? Your pics are confusing. One shows a large chartplotter/radar display, another shows the large one and a small one next to it. Also you say you have radar. The pic of the boat on the trailer doesn't seem to show one.

Is the trailer aluminum? Seems like it in the pic. You say 4 wheel disk brakes. All electric, surge or electric over hydraulic?

Any idea what the rig weighs sitting on the trailer with minimal gear, no water, half fuel?

You are located near Scranton, Pa right?

Please email me at dmfeelingroovy@gmail.com.

Thanks,
David

How many hours on the Yamaha 150? This is the motor she came with I presume? I saw a new one at St John's meet up in February and really liked the stance. Just sold my 25 and miss it already, but was considering downsizing anyway. Can you send me more pictures to blinkr@frontiernet.net?

Thanks!
John

Just a quick note for anybody that cares...We ended up buying this 23 Venture. Unfortunately both me and the boat are going under the knife before hitting the high seas. I have back surgery Friday and the Yamaha needs lower unit work that has yet to be determined. Probably bearings as there is excessive play and noise in the prop shaft. Nothing too major for either of us but a delay never the less. Anyway wanted the community to know...

Kind regards,
John

Congratulations on the boat. You may find a rebuilt lower unit cheaper if there are major issues.

Good luck on the back surgery...let it heal before boating and listen to the rehab people!!!.

John, good luck with the back!

Having owned a 2008 Venture 23 until 2017 I can tell you that you have bought a fine boat! Though we are vert happy with the Ranger Tug there are many times when I miss the Venture.

John, best to you in your surgery and recovery. And in getting the boat ready. Timing is everything so work it out together, and enjoy/
