2026 Delta and Bay Extravaganza – Sign Up

Here is the official invitation and sign up for the 22nd Delta and Bay Extravaganza!
This year’s 7 day 6 night voyage is through the scenic California Delta and around the world famous San Francisco Bay. We have participated in the last 13 of these annual adventures and have made many lifelong friends. This is a group of C-Dory enthusiasts who always are always welcoming to new participants. The event was created by our very good friend Jim Gibson with the gracious support of his lovely Kathy. We hope to have some repeat boats and as well as several new boats and crew on this 2026 journey. For those who have not experienced this voyage, it is a must do for anyone who enjoys great company, excellent boats and some of the very best boating in North America.

The trip will start on Sunday, April 19, and end on Saturday, April 25th. We will launch from Rio Vista at the Delta Marina Yacht Harbor at noon. Tow vehicle and trailer storage is available either on the property or a short distance away. We will spend two nights at Black Mallard Duck Club, habitat for tens of thousands of ducks and other birds located on Wheeler Island near Honker Bay. John and Robbin Eudy will be hosting our stay on the island. Our next overnight stop will be the quaint river town of Petaluma, then on to Sausalito at the Schoonmaker Point Marina. From Sausalito, we will pass in front of the Golden Gate Bridge to South Beach Harbor in San Francisco for a 1night visit. We will depart from San Francisco Friday, April 24, and head to the Benicia Marina for our last overnight. Every one of these destinations is worth the voyage in its own right.

I hope some of you who have been considering this trip decide this is the year to attend! It is important to note that there is a limit of 10 boats due to safe berthing considerations at the duck club. Five boats have already confirmed. Sign-up for the remaining five boats is first come first on the list.

  • Pounder – Jim and Kathy

I affirm that this trip is one of the very best C Brat gatherings. You go back in time at the Duck Club--which is a historic classic. Not to be missed!

John & Laurie,
Thanks for putting this glorious event together once again. Last year’s get-together was fantastic with the added extra stops at Sausalito and Benicia, both not to be missed. Now I see you’ve added Petaluma back in after years of avoiding it due to various marina conditions, also a nice place to visit. It’s hard putting together a schedule not knowing the weather in advance, but we always manage workarounds if the need arises. Looking forward to another adventure. Thanks.

Gary and Colleen on DayBreak would like to sign up for this gathering. Thank you John and Laurie for hosting this gathering. We are looking forward to attend.

Bob and Sarah Switek on CaliCat would like to sign up, too. We have just purchased a 2006 Tomcat 255. We are going to pick it up this weekend in Anacortes. We live in San Andreas and are anxious to join the Bay and Delta Group and meeting some new friends. We have recently completed the Great Loop in a 42' Jefferson and really want to try to continue that sort of a cruising on the West Coast to the extent we can. We thought trailering the TomCat to various locations would be the best way to do that and are excited to join others on various cruises on the West Coast. Looking forward to meeting you all.

If you still have room, I think I'd like to bring C-Traveler out on this cruise again. Immediately afterwards I will be heading north and joining two of my other cruising buddies to cruise up the west side of Canada, possibly as far as Prince Rupert. So I may decide to skip Benicia and do the one day leg back to Rio Vista. I don't know if Rosanne will be joining me or not. Colby

John and Laurie, I would like to claim a spot (if one is available) for Nowhere Fast. I loved the trip two years ago and would like to join in again. Tango and a friend would be joining me.

Please add us to the list. Looking forward to another great trip.

Steve

I have updated the participants for the 2026 Delta and Bay Extravaganza. We have reached our capacity of ten boats. We will start a wait list and encourage those who are interested in joining this event to let us know. It is not uncommon for spaces to open up as people drop out for various reasons. Look for another update in early March as Laurie and I will be providing more details confirming itinerary, costs, participant responsibilities and of course potluck sign up!

We are pleased that there is so much interest in this year's Bay and Delta Extravaganza! We look forward to seeing all of you at the event. We are sorry that it is such limited space as we would love for all to experience this unique trip. Serenity is first on the wait list. We do encourage interested parties to post their desire to put on the wait list as well. John and Laurie
