I just read an article about that engine. It was either Trailer Boats or Sport Fishing magazine. Just as the old 130/150 is the same engine as the Accords, the new 90 is an engine from one of Honda's new car models. As such, the engineering effort put in was probably alot more than a manufacturer would put into a marine outboard alone.

The 2007 Honda 75 and 90 are based on the engine that is used in the Honda Fit automobile. They will now be fuel injected too, finally. I can actually consider staying with Honda now when it comes time to repower.
