I examined this boat at the request of an interested party 12 days ago. As is my custom, I will post my findings since this individual has not taken any action toward buying this boat.

The boat appears to be in very good condition. There are a couple of minor dings, none structural or major--the last photos on the Thataway album show these items.

The boat is lightly used, and engine hours are as noted. It appears to have been covered during its life. The side window latchs are missing. Some of the bottom paint has rubbed off from the bunks, and trailer tires are over 6 years old, so need replaicing if you are going to trailer the boat. I believe the boat has the desirable "Barber" chair--factory option.

I would not hesitate to buy this boat if I was in the market (same year as my current 22).

Buy the boat, spend two weeks at Catalina and trailer it home! I suspect if the boat was in the PNW it would have sold many months ago.

Due to the overwhelming spam email, I will only respond to emails that include you name and phone number that accompany a valid reason to respond. I'm sorry if i sound blunt or rude, but it is getting annoying to say the least.

Mike,
I sent you an email thru the C-Brat site and also on my Google account about trying to see the boat while we are in OC this week. Thanks.

Mike is not the kind to toot his own horn but the wife and I went to see the boat and it is in A+ shape. Mike is a real mechanic and he showed me all the work he did on the motors which have very few hours and as a result, carbs got a bit messy. If Mike did outboard servicing for a living I would take my boat to him for sure. Saw zero as in no saltwater damage/corrosion. The motors are like new under the cowls and the rest of the boat metal is pristine. Trailer is is very good shape, tires have no wear and would be fine for local travel. Mike shows you the boat with a rag in his hand and he is wiping down the boat the whole time, he does it by habit (one I do not have) and the results show. If the specs on his boat catch your eye, well worth a note to him and a good look.

We found a new home for our C-Dory. Mr Davidson "Jim D" from Montgomery MN will be the new owner.

Thanks to Bob Austin and Bob Jarrard for your comments.

We will be contributing to the C-Brat tip jar. Thank your for the support of this forum and the people that make up the C-Brats. I'm sure Jim and family will enjoy the camaraderie of the C-Brat community in upcoming events.
