2004 Marineco/AFI wiper blade refills?

Marina owner doesn't have my blade in stock--2005 22 cruiser--and his assistant can't match anything up either. My attempt to get a blade from West Marine resulted in wrong blades and a return shipment at my expense. Guess I'll try writing directly to C-Dory.

I got perfect fit and form factor 12 inch squeegee rubber from my "car Quest" auto parts store. $3.50 each. That included the useless squeegee holder. I just pulled the squeegee out of the holder and it was a perfect fit to the squeegee holder on the AFI wiper on my boat.

So are you trying to replace the whole blade/squeegee assembly, or just looking for the squeegee?

Thanks for this thread! Just after buying our boat I replaced 1 of our Marinco wiper blades with a factory replacement at a cost of roughly $30. With our 2nd Marinco blade now tearing and in need to replacement, and not wanting to pay another $30 for a new one, I followed this thread and bought a single 24" Rain-X wiper blade from Target at a cost of $9. I then removed the blade itself from the Rain-X bracket and cut the blade roughly in half, to 11.5". It is a perfect fit. The existing metal side rails from the old blade were still in very good condition so I reused them, but since I also had the side rails from the new blade I trimmed them down for use as spares if ever needed. The new blade works great, plus I already have a complete spare ready for use whenever the need arises. A fast and easy fix at a fraction of the cost. Thanks!

Rob

After searching several stores over the years for in stock wiper blade replacement...I finally found success at Napa. I needed the 12 inch size and asked for the same. He asked, 'pin or hook?' I said, 'pin' and out he came from the behind the counter parts area with exactely what was a perfect fit. No more fabricating wiper blades for me. And only $5.91 tax included.

How do I get the wiper arms off my 2005 C-dory 22 cruiser to replace wiper blades? Any help will be appreciated. I do think I have the right replacements. Guess I'll see.

You don't need to take the wiper arms off to replace the blades but to answer your question the arms are held on the motor shaft with a small set screw. Often, they can be hard to remove.

Thanks, but it looks as if I am going to have to replace the blades themselves. Got the wrong wiper blade holders again from C-Dory. It will be easier to replace the blades with wiper arms off, I think.

I just went to NAPA and got replacement blades for the boat. The part number is 60-1233, and they are the exact same blades as the originals, perfect fit. If the store has problems, tell them to look in the "Vintage" ANCO blades.

It took me a minute to realize that the tab that sticks up from the part that attaches to the arm just needs to be pulled back. Very easy to do.

And the NAPA 60-1233 wiper blade, is only $8.10... Order the blades at your local NAPA store via the internet and you will receive a 10% discount. If you are military and show your ID, they will give you 10% off at the counter. They only give one discount...

O'Reilly Auto Parts has complete wipers for Willey Jeeps that are 1" shorter than stock, but fit perfectly. They cost around $8.00 each. Mine are one year old and are like new.

Thanks Steve Baum. You once againproved the value of C-Brats forum. I went straight to my local Napa store and bought two sets of wiper blades, parts #60-1233. They were the exact OEP replacement.

I wanted to document this find after experimenting with recommendations in this thread.

Marinco 33004 is the EXACT replacement wiper for a 2006 CD 19 Angler. Although i didn't need the base arm, i believe the Marinco 33007A is an exact replacement arm.

Should be solid gold for that price, even in Loonies!

Heck Bob, that's cheap at twice the price.

Steve, I was not referring to the $8.00 you posted, but to the $45.69 on the arm and wiper, which showed up on chromer's post. But I have not checked out the actual arm prices and it may be a good buy. Seemed a bit pricy to me.

Bob, that was my sick sense of humor about the $45.69. For that amount, they should send a tech out to install it.

Hey Bob,

One could always remove the wiper motor, over drill the hole and plug it with epoxy. Just use a squeegee

Why when I can get two 24" wiper refills at WalMart ($12 us) or Amazon ($756 US) and have 4 blades ready to go!

Better yet, just use rainX and you don't use all of that expensive electricity. :o
