T thataway Active member Apr 3, 2025 #2 If there is no evidence of water intrusion or rot under these strips, I would leave them in place. These boats were a 'flat iron' dory--the bottom core was a flat sheet of plywood. The issue would be if the strips were in good shape--stay with it.
