Well, there is less boat to block visibility with no rear bulk head(other than canvas), and also the fact that all the windows are closer to you in a 16 definitly makes it easier to see. But I always felt the 22 had good visibility too. The 16 angler has a pretty decent cockpit space for a 16 foot boat if you fish, so the cuddy is smaller and really just storage on the angler to compensate, which brings the whole cabin and also the weight forward. I personally like the looks of the angler better, and since I primarily fish it was a no brainer for me. All three boats are great so you can't go wrong, but I'd figure out what your primary type of boating will be, and focus on a boat for that activity. I had a 22 and loved it, though sometimes, or specifically at my cabin where I boat alot. It was too much boat. Marginal launches, putting in and out alot because of tides/wind.. and other factors really make me appreciate the 16 for what it is. A simple, inexpensive, salty little fishing boat, that I hardly even notice when I'm towing. Good luck in the search!!
