At ebay 130563974161 there is a 2007, 16’ Cruiser with a 20 HP motor.

The 20 sure seems small for this boat.

Comments?

The "Standard" power of a C-D 16 is a 40 or 50 hp engine.

20 hp wouldn't plane the boat, and you'd be limited to about 8 mph.

I agree with Sea Wolf. Having operated a CD 16 Cruiser with a 40 HP engine for over three years, I don't think 20 HP would plane the boat either. My sense is that 40HP is the minimum motor you want on a CD 16 cruiser. Please remember that unlike the CD 16 Angler, the weight on the cruiser is shifted toward the stern. A couple of year's ago, I had two people sitting in chairs in the cockpit with me at the helm, and I could not get the boat on plane with a 40 HP engine without asking them to move into the cabin.

If you don't want to plane the boat--then an 8 hp high thrust motor is a better option than the 20 hp. It will have a larger prop and better "pushing power" at displacement speeds.

Here' a link to the listing on eBay:

Cute boat. Unfortunately, they have lost their minds on the asking price......Maybe it comes with twin 20s...LOL....

Here it is again, with an adjustment on the high end price, see ebay #130580908845.

Wow, someone is proud of that boat. I agree with Dr. Bob, a good Yamaha 8 horse high thrust would be a better engine than a single 20.
