I have a 19' bay that I can squeeze a boat into. Anyone know if the CD16 w/ a foldable tongue would work?

If so, got a 16' your thinking of selling let me know!

Depends on the trailer? Mine overhangs the trailer in the rear quite a bit, especially if you consider the motor. Offhand I'd say no.

Have you checked height? Mine won't fit inside a normal height garage door.

No. The problem is the outboard. I have a folding tongue on the trailer. The boat backs up against a work bench. 19.5 feet from the bench to the garage door. But if it weren't for the ability to put the propeller underneath the overhang on the bench, it wouldn't fit. I bought dollies for the wheels and that lets me angle it around when I have other projects, but it is a two car garage. Even still, it's tight sometimes. Climbing over a boat to get to a saw? Keeps me in shape.

Being a residential architect, I have a "back of the envelope" rule of thumb planning garages. It's realistic to add at least 6' to the length of the boat to account for the trailer tongue and outboard or outdrive.

I kept my Toland 18-8 in a 25' long garage and had inches to spare. A folding tongue might save a foot or two in length.
