12th Annual Catalina Off-Shore Adventure for 2013

Dear All Channel Island Enthusiasts:

Due to overwhelming demand and the irresistible draw of Two Harbors, we hereby schedule the 12th Annual Catalina Off-Shore Adventure for Sunday, August 4, 2013 to Saturday, August 10, 2013. Please mark your calendars to reserve these dates.

Unlike the Delta and Bay Extravaganza, there are no boat number limits for this event. Also, unlike our other event, for this outing you can drop in and out at any time you want. The Extravaganza is a disciplined forced march whereas this Off-Shore Adventure is a laid back Jimmy Buffett party.

Come one, and come all, but please sign up on this thread that you will be showing up. More information will be forthcoming.

As of now we have the following attendees:

1. M/V Pounder C-Dory
2. M/V Islander Duffy.

Joel SEA3PO and Mike Sealife, now is your time to sign up along with others! Steve Dora Jean maybe this would work for you? How about Ken Marcia Jane?

Sincerely,
Jim and Kath

Dear All:

We now have the following three boats attending this Catalina Offshore Adventure:

1. Pounder - Jim and Kath
2. Islander- Ron
3. Dinner Belle II - John and Robbin.

We have lots of room left. Figure out your summer schedule and sign up if you can.

Sincerely,

Jim

After several years of dedicated Coast Guard service, Sealife returns!!! Looking forward to meeting old (older) friends again......except Islander who I still see, as we inhabit the same harbor. I will see if I can drag Roger & Pat (C-Hawk) along also. His boat resides next to mine at Channel Islands Landing. And as a sign that I'm getting back into it again, I'm even giving a demo ride next Saturday to a guy who found me here on this site.

I SHOULD be able to make it, I will just blank out that week from everything else. And if we can get Roger/Pat to come, maybe another great fishing trip is in store. Thanks Jim/Kath for hosting this again, you're the best!

Wow!

This is great. We already have the following five (5) vessels signed up for the 2013 Catalina Offshore Adventure:

1. Pounder - Jim and Kath
2. Islander - Ron
3. Dinner Belle II - John and Robbin
4. Sealife - Mike
5. Dora Jean - Steve and Company.

This event was originated by Mike Sealife before he took a sebatical and now has returned! We still have plenty of room for others, both old timers and newbies. Please sign up on this thread.

Sincerely,
Jim

Dear All.

The 2013 Catalina Off-shore Adventure is now only about a month away. We still have only the following five (5) vessels formally signed up for this trip:

1. Pounder - Jim and Kath
2. Islander - Ron
3. Dinner Belle II - John and Robbin
4. Sealife - Mike
5. Dora Jean - Steve and Company.

We would love to add some more boats to this outing. Please sign up on this thread if you are interested in going. You can call me at (916) 799-0286 if you have any questions or concerns about this Adventure.

How about some old timers like Ken and Marcia, Joel and Susan, David and Donald, and/or Brent and Dixie? How about a few new timers also. This may be one of the few times to see Mike Sealife again!

This is definitely one of the best C-Dory trips of the year. It is the only C-Dory gathering that I know of that provides a relaxing Jimmy Buffett atnosphere that is hard to describe or reproduce anywhere outside of Key West, Florida.

Kath and I are looking forward to seeing Ron, John & Robbin, Mike, and Steve et. all. We would look forward to seeing some others also.

Jim and Kath

This is one of the best trips for C-Dory's!
Wish we could attend and get back on Island Time-- but right now I'm on Mountain Time-- in the Eastern Sierras. Hate to miss, but work calls :(

We will be there.... Sue and I have just been so busy that we have not been following the site lately. We have a house in Camarillo and so we will launch at Channel Islands and make the crossing from Oxnard.

Joel
SEA3PO

Joel and Susan.

That is fantastic. We look forward to seeing you both.

Ron, keep working on Little Rascal.

We are now up to 6 boats, maybe 7? How about some more?

Jim and Kath

I would love to go. It will depend on my August schedule which I won't get until about July 15th. I am flying a new airplane and have pretty much lost control of my days off!

Scott

Jim,

Please put Blue Eagle on the list. Both my father and I will be there.
Thanks for coordinating all of this.
Will we have a pot luck, as in prior years? If so, what could we bring?

David and Donald
Blue Eagle

I'm new to CD's, but plan to join the group from Channel Islands.
Please list me as C-Casa. My name Pedro Morillas. As the date gets closer, I'm going to need some instructions; such as what to bring, plan to anchor or need to reserve a mooring, and anything else that you think I should know...
Looking forward to it.

Thanks Scott for checking in. Hope you can make it, as we have not seen you for some time. We miss your unique personality perspective!

Sincerely,
Jim and Kath

Whose meeting in MDR (besides Jim)? I'm not sure if I want to go directly to Catalina ( long, but downhill), cruise or trailer to MDR and go over with the group. Might have an Auxiliary buddy going with me, in addition to Muffin.
