100 percent gas and E10

At my new home on Virginia's Eastern Shore, I have found a gas station that sells pure gas, no ethanol at all. Does anyone know if it would be a problem to add this gas to a tank with E10 in it? Are there any issues by using pure gas in an engine that has run E10? If I do use pure gas and then go on a trip in the boat and have to use E10 there, is that an issue? I would love to use the pure gas to eliminate the hydroscopic problems associated with E10 but am worried that changing horses midstream is not a good idea.
 
My Honda mechanic says that ethanol is added to pure gasoline to make E-10 after the production of the two components. He believes that many times more than ethanol than the 10% mixture requires may be added since the mix is not handled very precisely. If that is true then your mix which would be less ethanol than 10% would be fine I would think.

I'm certainly no chemist however.

While cruising, we have bought E10 where pure gas wasn't available... never had an issue with going "back and forth" (other than some water in the fuel one time in NY state). I try to avoid the ethanol when possible.
