Have a blast!

Thanks for the sign up Tyboo , I was looking for the Geiss's number and it had dissipated from my contacts . N0 explanation . Probably facebook related [I loathe Facebook]we are excited and looking forward to this years fun . Bill and Brenda , it wouldn't be a proper gathering without you two! I'm glad you are getting a little closer every year.
Playing the entertainment and food by ear ,Ill try not to disappoint !

If anyone wants to "flotilla" from Pensacola or Perdido Bay, please PM me. We live on a Bayou which connects to Perdido Bay,several trailers and rigs can be left on a lot which has parking areas next to our house. We will probably take 2-3 days to get over to Apalachicola. It is almost 200 miles from our house to where the gathering is. But there are a number of anchorages and marinas along the way, and a delightful trip----unless the wind is blowing the wrong way!

If you launch in Pensacola proper, I strongly suggest Pensacola Shipyard Marine complex on Myrick street, right off Navy Blvd. There is the best ramp, a large parking area, and security. Most other ramps do not have adequate security.

Falcon (Bill and Brenda) and CHARITY (Dave and Marlene) are leaving Tuesday morning around 8 am on October 16 from Niceville/Valparaiso and on cruising on the ICW to Port Saint Joe Marina for an overnight. There are lots of good places to eat in Port Saint Joe. Also there is a large grocery store about 1000 feet from the marina.

We will cruise the ICW on Wednesday October 17 in the middle of the day to Apalachicola and dock at the Water Street Marina. Want to eat some good sea food and visit the "Tin Shed".

If any of you C-Brats or Tug-Nuts spot us, please give us a call on channel 16. We are looking forward to lots of fun at the Gulf Coast Gathering.

Wow, looking like a great crowd for the upcoming 2012 event . Anita and I are in Newport R.I.to see the Newport Boat Show this weekend . Might have to purchase a Blue Blazer with the Wefings Family Crest [no such animal!] .
We are looking to make sure everybody has proper accomodations whether its on their boat or at a campground or hotel . So dont be afraid to ask !
Im guessing about 50-60 folks at this point , more would be great . Signups will help us plan whether you are bringing your boat or not , everybody is welcome !

The last Pictionary game should have been called because of the freezing cold wind. Probably be much better if the weather cooperates.

My wife Becky and I were at last years gathering as C dory wanna be's. Thanks to everyones helpfulness we decided a 25 cruiser was in our future. We finally found our boat this Summer. It is a 2008 that has 50 hours on it. Unfortunately Becky has a previous commitment that weekend, but I plan to attend with a friend to help with boat handling.

Just had another room at Water Street Hotel become available for attendees of our event . First come first serve . Its a King with a Day Bed as well . Let me know if someone wants it . Ill get their name on it .

Bob,
You asked those who were interested in launching in Pensolcola to PM you. I've sent two PMs, no answer. Just checked my outbox and the messages are not there, so I don't know what I've done, but none of the PMs I've sent since July are showing.

We plan to arrive in the area about the weekend of the 13th, thats just a planning date: can be plus or minus. We're in waterways in North Carolina now.

Chuck

Chuck, Bob and Marie have been on Lake Powell for the last couple of weeks. He'll get to your PM's soon I'm sure. Wish we could come, it's a lot of fun down there.

Chuck and Penny=
As Charlie said, we have been gone for 3 months--and just arrived home. I do have one PM from you which was send on Oct 2 (none others).

You are welcome to leave your rig at our house. I will PM details.

Unfortunately I have a doctor's appointment on the 18th, so I could not leave until mid day on the 18th. It may be that we will trailer the boat down to Apalachicola, since Marie has obligations on the next Monday (22nd), so it is very tight to make that trip in the C Dory (done it in 8 hours in the Tom Cat several times--it is about 200 miles from our house to Apalachicola--we are about 35 miles from Pensacola down town by water--8 miles by land).

Well we got our week back we don't need to go to Ca. so Loree and I will be attending and we called up Delores for our cabin again . So let the festivities begin Jim and Loree (jennykatz)
