Time for another installment of the Gulf Coast Gathering ! Same great location as last year with everybody welcome . Ill need to get an idea of how many rooms to reserve around town and as usual we will have food, fun , great company , great day trips .
We are looking forward to seeing our regular friends and our new ones and future ones as well
We will have boat space and slips in the city marina as well as Water Street Hotel available . Make those reservations as soon as you can as we like to back to back with the Blues Festival . Sometimes I can borrow a band or two................

Looking forward to it ;
If the Site Gods can make us a sign up sheet , we would be appreciative !

Good deal Marc.

We "CHARITY" will be there and looking forward to best weekend of the year.

Let me know if I can help in any way. We can come early and stay late.

Dave Mason in Valparaiso, Florida. captdave@valp.net.

Bob and Marie will be there--may even have some of that frozen Spaghetti left!

Seriously--this is a great gathering and great venue, hosted by a great dealer!

Thanks--those bands were great!

Hey gang, instead of quietly passing the hat or paying $50.00 for a T-shirt, lets just drop a check up front to help Marc pay for this bash. Dr. Bob, you want to be treasurer again and set the price?

You guys are too good ! . Danny [Tamaras Cafe} and I will do a little more advance work and we will have a great bash as usual . Sould have some new faces with both C Dories and Rangers this year . We just delivered the solid blue Venture 26 this weekend , as well as a new R 27 Tug. We are looking forward to a great event .

In the past we have passed the hat. Contributions have been $1 to $100, depending on the ability and value perceived. Yes, Marc is a dealer, ... But there are a lot of expenses which are behind the scenes. I would rather leave it voluntary. For us it is great " value" with great meals and commradery.

I hope that more boats come to the venue, rather than staying at the marinas. There is lots to learned by looking at others boats. Those who come to the club house get more out of the gathering.

We will be there with "Thisaway", weather & health permitting. We will leave Pensacola several days ahead of the gathering. There good places to leave your rigs, including our yard. There is a new ramp near the Lillian Bridge, which we use.

gee whiz, you would think that with two six-day stretches of scheduled time off every month I would have connected on ONE of my desired c-brats outtings this year...but I have struck out on Mississippi River, North Carolina, Lake Powell, and now Gulf Coast cruise.

I gotta figure this schedule out somehow...

Marc,

Are there going to be rooms available at the Water Street Hotel/Marina?

Currently, the online reservations state that no rooms are available for that timeframe.

Thanks a bunch,

Norwalk Bob

I have one more room available at Water Street if nobody has nabbed it yet . Also have a couple cabins right on Bay City Rd near the gathering place . Ill check availability . They are stumbling distance from the clubhose at Rivercrest. .
Ill see what else we can come up with

Looks like things are shaping up to be another really fun Gulf Coast Gathering . I can speak with the Gibson Inn regarding a GCG rate and there are slips in the City Marina that can be used .There is one room available at Water Street Hotel for Fri Sat Sun. its under Wefings . First one to call them and claim it gets it ! Please post if you get it so we know that its taken .

Two Bears will be there. We're presently in 1,000 Islands recovering from 3 weeks on the Eire Canal where it was very warm (at least, warm according to our western bodies). Next is the outer Banks including the NC gathering. Then we'll head for the Gulf Coast. My mouth is already watering thinking of those great oysters fresh out of the shell. Maybe I'll break down and buy my own knife this year. How is the crop this year?

A flotilla traveling up from Pensacola sounds great. Can we stretch that into a two week trip?

The sign up sheet is left over from last year and has the wrong dates.

Chuck

We are intrigued by the flotilla departing from Pensacola (lot closer to us than Apalach). Any of you guys care to share some details?
