We are looking forward to this Gathering, but it looks like we’ll have a cottage rather than Cat O’ Mine. The trailer has been in the shop since June 4, awaiting torsion axles which are somewhere in someone's snarled supply chain. We had to cancel the Trent Severn/Georgian Bay/Northern Small Craft trip. The engines are overdue for 100 hour service after the 1,300 water miles around all Florida’s coasts in May including water pumps @ 200 hours, which are beyond my skill set and can’t be done in a wet slip.
I noted some stiffness in shifting the port F150 at our last outing. Today it wouldn’t shift at all, stuck hard partly toward Reverse while making a thrashing-gears racket. The likelihood of the trailer and engine being repaired in five work days is about zero. We might still be able to trailer up and cruise down the TennTom to Mobile and our home marina aboard NAS PNS in mid Oct or later.
Mike, we’re still agreeable to discuss Locking (@ 200) if needed.
It’s a boat, it’s always something.
If no one was killed or seriously injured, and if the total damage after all deductibles and copays is under a Boat Unit, then…
IT WAS A GOOD BOATING DAY!!!
We’ve had a lot of them.

Also, while waiting for Mike to post a more exact schedule, I also am still looking to lead a group up to Lighthouse Landing Marina, very near Patti's Settlement, on Tuesday. If that works out, assuming availability at the marina, we can dock for 4 free hours at the transient dock. This is a 20 mile one way trip into Kentucky Lake and I would plan to run around 15 or 16 kts, a hair slow for my 25, but I think a good cruising speed for the 22's. I would look at us leaving right at 10am, getting to Lighthouse Landing around 11:30a, and then departing at 3p to get back to Prizer Point by 4:30p. You can google Patti's Settlement to see what's available. It is an interesting place. See you all next week! Colby
