09/26 - 09/28 - NC Gathering

:lol: Wow you all get long so well.. lol I heard from the Marina and they need to know how many folks need electric ? It's getting full fast over there. So we need to see who all has to have electric ? Thanks to those of you who have emailed about tee shirts. They will be white again (white is cooler in our hot weather ) but the design will be different. Carrie is working on that with the tee shirt lady. LOL Not my job.. 8) I wish it was Sept already ! The launch is just around the bin from where we will be staying. You'll have to put in, either one of you drive the boat while the other drives the truck to where we are all staying or leave the truck and one of us can take you back to get it after you settle in with your boat. We don't leave the trucks at the ramp. NO LAUNCH FEE in NC ! LOL NOT YET.. :o
Not sure about the MP3 question. There is electric up there where we are eatting and gathering at.

I'll be "there"...had another C-Brat ("mpmccoy" from california!) come by on friday...ask him if I "work"...LOL! We were trying to design saddle fuel tanks, but "work" kept interfering...no kidding! :lol:

You'll go south to ICM Mile 180, then turn starboard about 30 degrees, and head another couple of miles, to the outer marker to Whitaker.

Looking forward to seeing you again. A couple of us are looking at a pre-gathering loop down Adams Creek , out to Lookout Point, then up to Ocracoke, and back to Oriental/Whitaker for the get together. Let me know if you're interested in extending your trip a bit.

Tracy, Doug and I have decided to make the trip to NC for the
gathering and trailering the AnneB this time. Hope there is enough room at the marina. Sounds like quite a crowd. We will probably come a few days earlier.
Also put us down for 2 T-shirts (medium and large)
Can't be left out of all the excitement! Will call the marina and make slip reservations.

Just a reminder for everyone that the Marina needs to know your electric needs ahead of time. Some folks may have to go without so please let Ashley (dock master) know if you HAVE to have electric. We will work it out so everyone who needs it gets it. LOL I have about 20 t-shirts ordered so far. They will be light blue (carolina blue) with some different graphics this year. The t-shirts are 15.00 each. We have hired a really good guitar player/singer for Saturday night. But will use the CD's and MP3 players.. Friday night. Remember it's Pot Luck Friday night. Carrie has some really good prizes lined up and we plan to have a boat treasure hunt. A little different this year as well. So you can go on the whole hunt or just part of the hunt...you'll have to come find out more at the gathering. LOL Ok think I have hit all the high points. See you all soon ! 8) Tracy
 
Tracy, thanks so much for all of the hard work that you're putting into this gathering! If you need any help at all...I'd like to volunteer Patrick from the Donna Marie...he and Donna came by my shop yesterday, and Patrick looked like he needed something to do. :lol:

BTW...it might be a bit risky to have us NC mountain folk bring a pot luck dish...but I assure you that it'll taste just like chicken! :wink

As you know, I spent some college years not far from where you live and I wish I could join in on this C-Brat Gathering, because I'd be more interested in what you might bring to the potluck to drink that is cooked up in the hills around you... :mrgreen:
 
That's top secret Dave, but no gathering would be complete without that of which you speak. :wink

We are taking off for Southport,Georgetown and maybe Charleston. Depending on the weather. I can't go too long without being on the water.. lol . Gotta make sure the boat will float.. that's a good excuse to go, right ? Take care all.. Tracy :D

Don't toss it out Patrick! I'll send you my "basement chicken desert recipe" it's delicious, ya just gotta make sure to remove all of the fur, and use alot of sugar. Then put it out at the gathering and label it "yum yum pie" :smilep

Tracy following our e-mail communication last night I've decided to trailer up to Wilmington on the 20th and put in at Carolina Beach State Park and cruise up to Oriental for the gathering (health permitting). I'm really looking forward to the trip and revisitng some of my old fishing grounds around Wilmington. It's been 50 years since I've been in those waters. I contacted the Marina and made tenative reservations. Thanks for getting me out of the recliner :)

Good to see more activity on this topic! I was afraid that folks had researched the Oriental area, as I have, and discovered that there's salt water down there. I know I was shocked! I think we'll put the boat in anyway though. I've already preped it, by applying a thin coat of Jose Cuervo.
 
Larry, Pat did tell you that you have to bring enough for everyone right ? Or at least enough for the folks that set up the Gathering.. ? That would be Carrie and Tracy.. lol
