09/26 - 09/28 - NC Gathering

As others have said Tracy, Carrie, Gene and Larry did a wonderful job. Everything was perfect despite the threat of bad weather. Not only did I meet many C-Brats at the gathering, along the way from South Port I was reunited with some old boyhood friends in Topsail I hadn't seen in 46 years plus a cousin in Morehead City I had never met! I look forward to next years event and God willing will do it all the way by water. What beautiful cruising waters the Tarheel State has to offer!
 
One more thing to mention.. Donna of the "Donna Marie" will be making a free Story DVD again this year. Anyone who wants one contact her. She told me it would be a month before it's ready. She also said if anyone has any really good photos they would like added to email them to her. She can add them into "Our NC Gathering Story".
Donna thanks SO much for all your hard work. I think most everyone knew you were doing that...for us sadly my brain forgot to get everyone to thank you in person ! :oops: So ah..THANKS :D :lol: a lot. We had a some good ideas from some of the Brats for next year. If you happen to think of anything while it's still fresh in your minds email me so I can take notes ! Margo and I would like to thank you for a fantastic time at your gathering. You all ( or as y'all folks say) did an outstanding job of hosting the event. We northerners from New Jersey were treated to great southern hosptality.
North Carolina is fortunate to have Mobile East Marine, a knowlegable and customer friendly C-Dory Dealer. As far as we are concerned there is only one C-Dory Dealer on the entire east coast and that is Mobile East Marine.
The Whittaker Point Marina is an outstanding facility with great services and hosptality.
We will try to definitly return nect year and encourage anyone who can to attend.

Good to read all the kudos for the NC Gathering. We certainly had a great time. We came early on Tuesday (wanted to cruise the river and see the sights). Because of the weather we didn't get out of the slip til Saturday. We did get to pal around with Syd and Margo for two days by car and really had a good time with them. It was good to see the other C-Dory's coming in on Friday. Good food and fellowship all weekend!
I have some pictures to put into the album.
Great to meet new people and greet old friends.
There is something about the people that own C-Dorys. We seem to have known these people forever and become good friends instantly. Hope everyone got some good ideas from others because that is what these gatherings are all about.
No matter what is planned at these events everyone seems to have a good time talking, eating and just having fun!

Hope to make the trip next year.

After the first of the year we will be planning the Chesapeake Gathering.

Still a few more weekends this year to go boating before we winterize the AnneB. The Annapolis, MD boatshow is coming up and I notice C-Dory is not mentioned as one of the exhibitors. ??
