since mileage doesn't seem to be a factor in your traveling, why don't you and marcia stop by cumberland for a day or two on your way to nc. i'm not sure but think we could find room for you guys.

Actually, mileage is a factor, but time is a bigger one or we would stop by on the way down and visit for a while. That time will come.

Also, you are welcome to head up this way and share Lake Erie with us. Looking forward to seeing you and Linda again.

lake erie, i vaguely recall where that is, but, not exactly how large a lake it is. i would imagine it's just not as large as lake cumberland, but never the less probably a nice place to boat. will consider your generous offer and add it to our possibilities. do they sell beer up there?

You're right; it's pretty small. Heck, with both C-dory's in the western basin, I hope that we raise the lake levels enough to flood the waterfront homes!

Ok Tracy...Jo and I decided last night to skip my HS reunion and head to the coast for this gathering...so put us on the list. I'll call the marina today to reserve a slip or dock space.
One less redneck at the reunion shouldn't be an issue, but I hope they allow NC mountain folk at Whittaker Point :lol:
 
LOL :D Larry I am so glad you and Jo are coming ! It will be so nice to meet you all in person ! So it will be just the two right ?Larry and I will be there a few days early. I want to go to New Bern by boat and see all the sites. So if you all get down early call us. I think we have sorta plans with the crew of the Valkyrie for supper one night.. more the better ! Some updates here.. We have a Breakfast Chef cooking our Sunday brunch with some help from us.. yippee.. :D
We need your tee shirt orders so we can get a count of how many. They are 15.00 each. I have more names to add to the list of boats but I'll wait a wee bit longer to do that. SO Please if you want a tee shirt let me know soon ! Thanks..Tracy

2...Where's the closest launch ramp?
3...Will there be a passing of the hat to help cover expenses for the gathering?
4...Will there be an ugly boat award (ours will win)?
5...For music, do you have a hook-up for an MP3 player?
6...If anyone is coming through western NC, and needs a place to stay prior to friday, we have lotsa room!

If anyone is coming thru the Norfolk/Va. Beach area via land or sea,
please feel free to contact us.

Since the ICW mile marker #1 is here in Norfolk, does anyone know off
hand what the mileage is to the marina via the ICW? I don't have any
chart coverage below the NC northern border, yet.
