I would love to make it, especially with the new Ranger...but...that weekend, for 11 years, is the Rock Hall Fallfest, an event i founded and run every year...25 bands, 56 crafts, 25 food vendors, waterfront and land activity...6,000 people last year. I'd love to ask for a "weekend off" and motor on down, but the committee would kill me...

Tom in Rock Hall

Too bad Tom we could use you at our NC Gathering for Entertainment and Kazoo teaching ! 8) Sounds like you all have a good time up there in Sept. I don't suppose you have video to share with us at the Chesapeake Gathering of you last Musical event ? Just a thought.. We will see you soon !

[/b]Hello everyone !
I talked to Carrie today and we were running a few new ideas around, like maybe a Pig Pickin instead of a "catered" meal. Still having the pot luck Friday night. Maybe a Sunday brunch before everyone takes off..? I am sure we are doing the poker run unless gas just goes completely outta site. LOL Oh and different entertainment this year for sure. LOL I believe some of you offered up ah..playing a flute and maybe drums..? We will do our best since we don't have Tom to come lead us down here in Kazoo playing.Just thought I'd up date you on our ideas. See some of you soon at the Bay ! :D

Well poody! I'd signed up for this gathering, but just found out that my 30 year reunion is the same weekend, so I'll be missing the gathering AGAIN this year.

:) Sheila and I are new 22 Cruiser owners. We bought "Pegasus" from Carrie & Gene late last year. We plan to attend and are looking forward to meeting everyone! We live near Wilmington and will probably stay a few extra days at the marina to explore the area. Thom

I sure do wish Peggy and I could attend this...everything i hear is good...and i'd be happy to provide some songs and bring the kazoos!

As i said, i am tied up always on that weekend...Rock Hall Fallfest.

But i am trying to figure out a fall cruise that way....we will see.

Best to all

Larry and Tracy,
Remind me of the place of the gathering, the marina name, so i can trace a route from Rock Hall, by water, for future reference.

I know it takes me 8 hours to get to the mouth of the Potomac...

Hi all, We had a great time in Maryland last week. I hope to see some new sign ups on our NC Gathering now. Looking forward to seeing some new folks and of course everyone from last year ! :D

You're right Tracy! Whittaker Creek is NOT the same place as Whittaker Pointe.

I am in Oriental now, planning to head back to PA on Monday (June 23rd). Taking my C-Dory back to PA for a few months, but will be back in Oriental for the gathering.

Friday :We will have our Pot Luck Friday night So please bring enough food to feed a few folks. The Pot Luck will be at 6:00pm. Some one promised us Homemade Key Lime Pies last year..she didn't have time after all.. so if you are a Key lime pie kinda cook..hint hint.. lol
Saturday :We are planning some kinda run or cruise for Saturday . Not a long run but something we can all do together. Our meal for Saturday night will be catered BBQ pork and chicken. We are still kicking around the idea of us just putting on a Pig Pickin. It will be BBQ either way. LOL That meal will be at 6:00pm. We will not have live Entertainment this year. What we want is for YOU to bring your Favorite CD's to share. I promise not to scratch anyones music. I'll be playing the tunes this year.. lol Not singing..just playing the "Boom Box" lol
Sunday: We have decided to have a Sunday morning brunch. It will be Eggs, bacon, sausage, danish rolls and fruit and coffee. If you are a good cook you may step on up to help us with this! I hear Gene and Carrie are great breakfast cooks.. lol

Thanks Tracy,
All that looks good for this Cruise, we like BBQ any way it is fixed. Looks like there is a lot of interest on the 2008 Cruise on the Coast of NC. I would like to seem some from Tenn. & Ky. Come on East a few miles we all will have a good time, it is a beautiful location down there.
If anyone would like to stop by our location for the night on the way east we can hook you up to Power. We are about 250 miles west of the Coast. We can follow each other on down to the Coast of NC. We have met CBs from OH & WV you all can stop over for the night (Capt. Pat or anyone else)
Jim

:D Your right Jim it would be nice to see some folks from Tenn. & Ky come . The more we have the more fun it is I think. I doubt we could ever have too many friends ! Oh and Jim if you our Sandy cook..you can help out with the Sunday Brunch.. lol See ya soon.. Tracy

Hi Brats,

What the heck, count Valkyrie in, too. Marcia and I look forward to meeting some new CD owners, as well as getting reacquainted with others that we have met at the Chesapeake CBGT.

hello to jim, sandy, tracy and larry,
sounds like a great time, but, 642 miles maybe just a tad to far, for our third boating trip this season. first was florida, then rock hall, and i think our third outing will probably be somewhere, short distance from ohio, perhaps tennessee, kentucky or might even venture down the ohio river. linda and i enjoyed seeing you guys at rock hall and look forward to next year as well.
we'll be with you guys in spirit!
have a terrific time and post those pictures so we can see what we missed.
best regards
pat and linda
