Made my reservations a week or so ago, and have my work calendar free, so I will be there. FWIW, I do have a Stainless Steel prop that I'd like to sell if anyone can use it. I also have it listed on Craigs list. I'll try to remember to bring it along in case anyone is interested. (Solas 13 3/4 x 13) Looking forward to meeting other C-dory owners. Colby

Hello Colby, Thank you for the note and bringing up this subject.

I to have a new prop that needs a new home, thank you for the reminder.

Our group likes to make up the gathering as we go along, our rules are “no rules”.

With that being said, anyone can bring anything that they want to share, give away, sell or trade.

We will come up with a location for the “stuff” when we get there.

Any questions of where to launch, park tow vehicles, park your boat, WIFI access codes, reserve Thursday and Friday night cruises or about anything else, coordinate with Diane Averkamp: 563-557-9700

Diane’s office is inside Catfish Charlie's Restaurant (in the front doors, to your left).

Best regards,

Ron, Connie, Bear & Dolly Fisher

We called Diane this morning and made reservations for a slip for Wednesday night through Saturday night.

Now we're trying to post some of the pictures of our trip on the way to the gathering. But when we go on the link for the pictures, we don't find an "add photos" button. What are we doing wrong? We see two pics from Ron and Connie and two from Tex and Sharon, but that's all. Can someone help us with this?

Also, can we enter the "who-came-the-farthest-to-get-to-Dubuque" contest?? We know Tex and Sharon will win with the most BOAT miles, but we DID trailer all the way from Amarillo to Mystic, Connecticut, before we turned around and headed to Dubuque! LOL

See you soon,

Lyle, Janda, and Lindy

Janda, Lyle & Lindy,

Have not got a clue why you are having problems adding photos to http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_ ... _album.php

However, every time that I’ve had a problem was because I had forgotten to log on, try logging on or re logging on and see if that solves the problem.

Ok, so you made the longest trip to the gathering with a dog (Lindy), that should be worth something.

Best regards,

Ron, Connie, Bear & Dolly Fisher

Thanks, Ron, for the suggestion about logging in, but we checked that, and we were already logged in. We logged in again and tried again, but still no luck. We think we'll try posting the question on the tech support page.

The problem probably has something to do with the fact that we're using an iPad.

And we're worried about whether we'll be able to send pictures from the iPad to the Brat site, once we have the "add photos" button.

Hopefully we'll have some pictures on soon.

Lyle and Janda

Lyle/Janda, I am also using the IPAD and when I go in the folder, on the upper right side there is a drop down for album actions. Under that is an add photo tab.

Eric

Thanks, Eric, for taking time to check that site where we're trying to post pics. When we click on "album actions," we find the menu with "add photos." But when we click on that, nothing happens--it just doesn't seem to select or open up anything where we can add our photos.

And the suggestions the others made about "PhotoBucket," etc., don't seem to address that part of the problem--no "add photos" capability.

But we'll try the "PhotoBucket" thing, see if that DOES change anything. Any further suggestions will be appreciated.

Sorry, we've been traveling today, heading westward in Pennsylvania, and just now are getting time back online.

Lyle and Janda

Ken and Pat Fry drove over to pick us up on the River near the Quad Cities and took us on a tour of the Rock Island Federal Armory museum today.

Quite a sight with nearly every military weapon and artillery piece ever used on display. Can't beat the cost, free.

The museum and river steamer display in Le Claire was pretty interesting also.

The John Deere Museum is also located in the Quad Cities.

If you have time while in the midwest, it is worth the stop.

They are meeting up with us on their boat next Wed morning at Savanna, Ill for the final run up the river into Dubuque.

We may have a few other C-Dorys join us.

Tex and Sharon

Hello Tex & Sharon,

I need a favour, when you two link up with Ken and Pat at Savanna, Il and head north, please check out the channel entrance depth to the “Off Shore Bar & Grill” landing beach (above the dam in Bellevue iowa).

We will be bringing “Game On” to the American Marine Yacht Basin Facility in Dubuque, on Wednesday afternoon and will see you there.

Best regards,

Ron, Connie, Bear & Dolly Fisher

We do not have a boat but have made reservations to be there to see and learn about the boats. It sounds like it is going to be a fun time. We hope to own a c-brat in the future and river travel. We have a power boat but it is not suitable for river. We are coming from KC MO and will be there on Thursday to meet and make friends.

Hello Sam and Clara Davis,

Absolutely fabulous that you are coming to Dubuque to “to see and learn about” C-Dory Boats.

This is the great thing about the National Mississippi River C-Brat, “Meet in The Middle” gathering, it allows those in the mid west (or from anywhere else that want to attend) to see and learn about the different sizes and configurations of C-Dory Boats.

At the gathering, you will be up close and personal with both a 16’ Cruiser and 16’ Angler, a 19’ Angler, 22’ Cruisers, 25’ Cruisers and a 26’ Venture Cruiser at the least.

Fore warning, one fellow and a couple (previously mentioned) came last year to “to see and learn about” C-Dory Boats, and are coming back this year with their own C-Dory’s.

You will have a great time, feel welcome and come hungry.

Best regards,

Ron, Connie, Bear & Dolly Fisher

Tex & Ron, Janda & I are in Pa, 800 miles from you all. Sitting out Labor Day holiday in a State Park til Monday AM. We are trying to figure a way to be in Savanna by Tues eve. We have not gone over 250 miles a day pretty much this whole trip so doing 400 a day is going to be a stretch. LOL What is your plans to leave Savanna, Tex? What time and where at? We are going to try to make it to be a part of the flotilla. We'll keep you posted whether or not we make it in time. Lyle & Janda

We will be at the marina. Where the main highway gets into down town Savanna and makes a turn, there is a KFC,Taco Bell and a Subway. Broderick Drive wyes off of the main highway at that point, crosses the RR tracks and dead ends into the marina.

So for we have 4 boats meeting in Savanna, for the run into Dubuque.

Pelican, Bixby's Cub, See-Saw and Sandpiper.

Anyone else that wants to join the "flotilla" is welcome.

Tex and fleet,

What is the estimated time that the flotilla will be leaving Savanna, Il. ?

Maybe we can head downriver and meet you.

Please advise.

Regards,

Ron

It would be great to have the Admiral and the flagship join us.

We are shooting for a 10 am departure time Wed morning from the Savanna marina.

Ok, has there been a list of events for this gathering posted yet? I will be arriving all the way from Madison ;-) with boat in tow around noon on Friday and staying until Sunday mid morning. Just curious if there are any planned events one should know about. My purpose for attending, other than socializing with other C-dory owners, is to see any modifications I may want to make to my boat. But would be nice to know if there are any day "flotillas" planned, or other excursions up or down the river. This is my first C-dory gathering, and just basically wondering what to expect. Thanks. Colby

Good morning Colby,

We as a group have had two very successful gatherings and all agree that the main reason they are so successful is that there are no strict schedules.

Anyone, individually or as a group can do anything or go anywhere they want

We meet each morning for breakfast (8:30 AM) and anyone that wants to announce where they are headed that day, invites “anyone that wants to”, to tag along.

Anyone can do anything they want, there is much to see and do in Dubuque and the river is out front and any boats can head any direction/s on their own schedules.

From the beginning, there has been an itinerary, please see my posting on page #1 Posted: Sat Feb 11, 2012 2:06 pm    Post subject: “Meet In The Middle”

My personal favorite event is the "open house" boat show, where all he boats are open for inspection. All the C-Brats love to show off the modifications that they have performed to make each boat different and special.
So many great ideas, creative interiors, plumbing improvements, kayak racks, etc.

We have a new major modification on our boat from an idea that we got at last years event.
