Susan, The weekend before,, (Aug 22 - 24 ) is my vote. Should work out as far as work goes. Let us know what to do.

Thanks Susan. We hate to miss a local gathering but will catch up with you at FH and hopefully Pender as well.

We have a family wedding to attend in Colorado in mid-August; another also in Colorado just a few weeks later so we will probably just stay there in between and will have to miss the Victoria gathering. Victoria is one of our favorite places and we know those who are able to go will have a good time.

Just wanting to bring this back up and see where we are on the dates. Looks like the Aug 22 weekend seems the favorite. OK with me. Just wanting to get the season going. Should be on the water next weekend.

Labor Day weekend is out forDaydream[/], that is when the Hamilton family visits Birch Bay and our grandkids get to frolic on the beach, take long walks and fly kites! Harper will probably try the waterslides, she will be big enough this year.
 
Just wanted to Bring this up to the front, especially since there are some C-brats at the cathelamet gathering that are considering going to Victoria.

we are leaning towards August 22-24th. I plan to make the reservation next weds or Thursday.

so chime in if you are interested in going . I needs to make a decision on how many boats to reserve at the Wharf marina.

There is a very good chance that we will be driving thru Victoria with our RV on the 22nd of August to take the Ferry back to Sequim. If so, we will stop to say "hi" to our C Brat friends! (as we wait in line to board the ferry!) The C dory will be stored at Powell at that time--by current plans--but plans change…..

Count us in for a Victoria get together - the 22nd-24th of August is good as is a later date. Looking forward to it, lots to see within walking distance!

Hello all,

IT is official now. I have paid the 100$ non refundable reservation fee for 10-12 boats for August 22nd and August 23 2014. both friday and saturday nights

at the Causeway Marina, this marina is in front of the Empress hotel downtown.


Please call individually to give a credit card for your moorage . the reservation fee is separate from the moorage. The reservation fee only guarantees space at the doc. If there are more than 10 boats we can raft up. they want the credit cards number for moorage as there is a 48hr cancel fee if you don't show. The group name is C-brats for the reservation. and there should be a discount on moorage because of our reservation.


there is a washroom and showers next to this dock but they are closed at sunset. there are more washroom and showers just a block north. i will provide maps etc as we get closer.


i will send more info on things to do.

saturday pot luck as usual.

if we have another 10 boats sign up i can get the reservation expanded as long as there is time.

I will get a signup sheet going also

I plan to participate if I am in town - but won't know until some time in August. Not sure if I will bike down and visit a few times or launch and bring the boat around.
I can also help with "local info", if you want.

Thanks for doing this Susan and Tom. I just put in our reservation for the Victoria CBGT. We've never taken the boat to Victoria, only Sydney and Brentwood Bay.

We can't wait! :teeth :thup

Never been so we'd be up for it. Pretty open right now, as all b-days etc will be done by late August and M can get off work if given enough lead time, like over a month.
 
Susan, maybe I missed it and need to improve on my reading skills . Was there a phone number or web site so as to be able to make our reservations. So did you guys catch anything on Monday? We had smooth water all the way home, wind didn't come up till late in the day wish we had stayed and gone fishing , but as they say better safe than sorry.
