Pat, I just signed us up for our first event since buying the former 'Nancy H' in 2009!
We're combining this event with an extended family campout at Larrabee state park so we'll be shuttling back and forth to Squalicum. We're be arriving at the Squalicum boat launch Friday afternoon and looking forward to meeting some of the folks we've been following on this site!

Patrick and Kim,

Good to go, we will have a packet and name tags for you!

Kim and I will be coming Saturday afternoon and evening for the potluck.
Sorry for the late notice. Will we need a gate code?

Thanks!

OK, this has grown and grown (which is good!). We will have name tags for Bill and Roberta and everyone else who has already contacted us and provided a boat picture, but we are now out of time. YOU ARE STILL WELCOME TO COME EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT SIGNED UP OR INDCATED YOU ARE COMING! Your name tag will he hand-written however and not have a picture of your boat on it!

OK, a couple of last minute things!

If you are arriving by car, access P Dock from Gate 9. The gate code is 514.

LFS changed the terms of the discount they are giving us. Instead of a 10% discount across the board, we have a coupon for $10 off a purchase of $50 or more. So that is a larger percentage but requires a greater expenditure. There is a coupon in your packet. Anyway, it is better than a poke in the eye!

We will be arriving Saturday AM by land with the boat staying on the trailer for our trip up north. We plan to be at the marina before 9am so we still have a couple of seats for heading to the factory. We will stay all day Saturday and the night on the hard leaving very early to catch a ferry north. Sorry to miss the omelets Pat!

Greg

Believe it or not, there are other places on the WWW to share pictures and I have seen a few of them depicting what looks to be great fun at this event. The official photo album is in place and we will be watching for the pictures.

You can go straight to it hereor find it in the first position in the Cruises and Events album where it will stay for a week or so until the Grand Slam of Lakes pictures start coming in.

Brats. Im here. Will be heading to P dock ASAP. Got the late ferry off the island and it was almost early when I got here. Saw Airel in the parking lot. See the rest of you soon.

R-Matey is washed down and tucked away in her safe and secure home.

The Bellingham CBGT was one of the best :thup

The C-Dory factory was open to us Saturday morning with coffee, juice and pastries. The new C-Dorys were all lined up, shiny and beautiful :thup Ron Wright, owner, and Greg Little, production manager, walked us through the production steps. They explained the new methods and materials that make the C-Dory boats so strong and durable. Thank you, Ron and Greg :thup It was great :D :D :D

Back on the dock at Squalicum Harbor, it was hugs, new stories, back slaps and a lot of laughter. We met and made some new friends. Visited with long time shipmates and told some good tales.

Back to Friday evening when Pat and Patty loaded up the tables with boxes of delicious pizza. Also, so pleased that our long time friends, Jeff and Diane, stopped by to visit.

Then Saturday after the factory tour everyone visited or went up town until it was time for Rev. Pat to perform the christening of Dan and Tanya's 27 Ranger, ECHO. After that the potluck began. Our good friends, Jaime and Denise, from Cumberland, BC, were in Bellingham for the weekend and joined us on the dock. They just happened to have a ton of smoked salmon with them and we were on it like a pack of sea lions.

Pat and Patty had a most interesting maritime trivia quiz. Aven (ARI) handed out the prizes. Sunday morning Pat and Patty presented all of us with a delicious breakfast. Omelets cooked right there on the dock in sandwich bags along with juice and pastries.

Pat and Patty, thank you so much :D :D :D Deeply appreciate the new name tags, too!

Fun photos in the event album. Harvey is looking like an "old salt" with the beard. Joe and Ruth - you two never change. Good to see Brock. Wish we could have joined you. Not much longer before we are gainfully unemployed once again. 8)

Shouting out a huge thank you to the whole C-Brat gang!! You all gave us such a warm welcome during our visit this weekend and we loved our maiden voyage on R-Matey with Ruthie and Joe!! Thanks for everything--Jeff and I hope to see you all again in our own C-Dory!!

Thanks you guys for being such gracious hosts. It was great to see everyone again, once a brat always a brat eh! Sorry about the Canadian money in the kitty but they won't let us have the real stuff. See everyone soon and if anyone is coming by Campbell River let us know.

Thank you Pat and Patty for a fun time.

Was only able to make Saturday night, but great food, ain't it always, and fun to visit and see new boats and projects that people have done!

Next time, we won't have to hide the whipping cream from Ruth! Shhh, don't tell her

Another great gathering had by all. Thanks Pat and Patty for putting together a fun event, from the welcome packets to the pizza to the factory tour to the omelet breakfast, the bar continues to rise. Caryn and I had a wonderful time seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Once again, thanks for all your efforts.

We were heading back from a week-long cruise to join the c-brats in Bellingham on Friday evening but the weekend weather was so warm and the seas so calm, we didn't have the heart to return home until Sunday. Sounds like we missed a great time.
