The Port of Bellingham has just confirmed that P Dock in Squalicum Harbor is reserved for the C-Brats on the following dates:

Friday July 16 @1 pm - Sunday July 18 @ 1 pm.

At this time the launch fee is still $5 and the parking is free.

Hi Ruth. Stacy and I were both bummed that we missed last year's gathering. We are looking forward to seeing you and Joe this year. Hope you guys had a great Christmas and New Years!

WOW - Ruth and Joe - you guys are on the ball. Good work, and nice to think about while we look out the window at fresh snow. You are far ahead of us on plans - we are still in the "think about" what we might be doing this next cruising year. All we know is that we will begin our cruising time on Lake Powell, in spring, as is our tradition. When on Powell? ¿Quién sabe?

We have sure enjoyed the Bellingham Gatherings in the past and if our g'kids have a vote in the matter, I know what they would want.

Many thanks to everyone who has signed up for the annual B'Ham CBGT. We're looking forward to getting together with all of you.

Just to bring some things up to date..... we checked with the Port of Bellingham and to their knowledge there still isn't any parking fee for your vehicle and trailer for either the short term (up to 5 days in the paved lot) or long term (across the street from paved lot). If using the long term parking lot, you'll need to go to the port office located at 722 Coho Way and they'll issue you a parking permit.

Still $5.00 for one launch and retrieve. Be sure to place validated ticket on your dash.

Some additonal news is that the Squalicum Yacht Club has already been reserved by someone else for Saturday July 17th.....so that means we'll be having our pot luck on the dock. The weather WILL BE GOOD because Barry (C-CAKES) will be here and he's in charge of good weather.

Bob and Marie Austin are planing to attend=-by dirt boat. Not sure if we can park in the lot or if in an RV park near by (any suggestions welcome), but this fits perfectly with our travel plans (thanks to Pat Anderson for suggesting this gathering!)--It will be good to see some of our PNW Brat friends, even if we only will have a dinghy there!

Gosh Darn it! We have plans to be camping during this time, but we'll be camping at Birch Bay State Park. How far is that away from the gathering site? Who knows, maybe I can sneak away...seriously doubt it though. :-(

At least I'll see most of you at Friday Harbor.

Birch Bay State Park is about 20 miles from Squalicum Harbor, maybe a bit less. Plan on bringing the family down for the potluck at least on Saturday!

Welcome to the C-Brats! No passport needed, suggest you trailer your boat from Oregon to Squalicum, the municipal marina in Bellingham, where we will be gathering. There are excellent launching and rig storage facilities there, from what I have been told (I will be coming by water from Anacortes.)

Typically people arrive at CBGTs on Fridays and there is a group dinner at a nearby restaurant that night. On Saturdays you go out in your boat or hang out at the dock, and Saturday evening there is always a potluck. Sunday there is an optional group breakfast and then everybody takes off for Canada, the San Juans, or home.

Costs: only the moorage fees of the hosting marina. Value: Priceless!

Have you formally signed up for the CBGT? If not, click on "Event Signups" which you will find under the C-Brat logo.

Looking forward to meeting you!
Warren
