Wow, I REALLY wish we could be there...to eat Terry's red hots, snooze through Tom's tunes, and just generally re-live our great experience of 2005. Tomorrow we are babysitting Erick Junior (EJ) Hammersmarck, age 1, whose parents' wedding in 2005 on Long Island occasioned our ability to come to the Great Eastern Shore CBGT in the first place. Somebody please hoist a toast to Bob Austin, he is just constantly in our thoughts here, as was Bill Fiero when he got his little "tune-up" - this family is just amazing, and we love you all...

Seems to me that a year ago or two there was talk of so many boats...and they seemed to melt away...game on!! winner gets from our end something in the crab memrabilia line...from your end..something in the "other crab" line (is it Dungyness or something?)....or a case of some exotic , very special beer?

Do wish you guys were coming...maybe next year.

We've got 27 Brat Pairs signed up (some that are on the list have since declined, I think my attendance list that I'll post shortly in the documents section is correctg) with 22 Boats.

Two new folks have recently signed up and I've sent them (SALTY-C and Finalist) a separate e-mail requesting info. Still lots of folks (29 to be exact) that have attended either in 2005 or 2006 or both that have not indicated attendance this year. We could really have a record if many of them sign up! It's not too late...

We finally ordered our boat to be "put together" this week. So it will be just about June before we get it and are ready to go out. So if we are ready where do we call and get signed up at ? If the boat's not ready we could just come "boatless" this time. Hope to meet everyone soon ! Larry and Tracy

Call Lankford Bay Marina and ask for John A. You can reserve a slip and if your boat doesn't make it for the weekend, just call and cancel the slip. Ask him what the policy is. I think it may be 24 hours.
We would love to have you, boat or no boat.

You can also ask John about lodging in Rock Hall or Chestertown for overnight. You can also check out their websites.

I know a lot of t-shirt orders have gone to Charlie, but wanted to give all a heads-up - we have to have all orders for shirts by May 23, which is when we'll place the final order. So... if you need them and haven't let us know numbers and sizes, please do so before the 23rd.

This year's shirt will be C-Dory green (or as close as we can come!), with the same design as last year, but new dates. They'll be done again by a Rock Hall outfit, and the owners are interested in C-Dories - hope they'll be a boat-owning part of the group next time we rendezvous!

Thanks for the PM Charlie.

As of today, Sea Angel will not be able to make the return cruise up the Ches. Bay from Va. Beach [200nm] to the Langford Gathering. Resent retirement changes are in play on the piggy banks.

If anyone attending the 'Gathering is coming thru VA across the Ches. Bay Bridge Tunnel and would like to use our home as a rest stop , please feel free to let me know. If you're really adventurous, launch from our city ramp and make the 'Bay run of 200 nms one way. We did it last year and it gave us some wonderful memories.

Everyone please raise a toaste for those not able to be there in body, but only in spirit.

Art, we will hoist one or two :cocktail :beer for you. Sorry you can't make it.

We'll also miss the 29 other boats/Brats who were there in the past but can't make it this year. I've heard from some of them but there's still lots of folks who are just lurking. Hope they decide to come after all, it's still not too late.

I'm going to send the final T-shirt order to John (Bluecrab) on the 22nd.

Charlie

Well, a momentous occurrence. Just got our first C-Ranger Tug signup. Don, from Gratitude MD will be there with his new 21EC for the weekend. You can see it on the latest attendance list. I don't think he's a Brat yet but I'm sure he will be before the weekend is out!

I am looking forward to seeing my first Tug, as I'm sure many of you will be!

Join us one and all...

We may have two C Ranger 21 at the gathering...There is a local dealership for them now in Rock Hall and they have sold four in no time at all. I might have the dealer bring one over by trailer for exposure.

Plans are getting set...I will be talking to my crab dealer this week, to pre plan the order...We had a lot left over last time, so i'll probably cut back some..there is so much food at the event, we don't need a surplus of crab.

Love to see another five or six boats, so that Pat A on Left Coast will sweat a little about the record.

Just posted the current list in the documents section. We're up to 30 Brat "pairs" with 23 bringing boats so far. Not too late folks, let me know!

Charlie

Would you be open to a couple of visitors on Friday night? We have been looking at these boats - perfect for our shallow draft river - and keeping en eye out for the right used one to come along. We'd just be driving up from Queenstown for a few hours.

Doyle & Marianne

Absolutely! Check in at the registration table when you get there, I'll have a couple of name tags for you.

I've also made name tags and added Doug and Claire from Churchton, MD. They are in the process of buying a boat and will attend on Saturday. They'd like to have a ride from someone.

Charlie

For those of you who plan on using the "McHugh Park and Go" field...please be aware that there is less space this year. There has been some construction and the field is only partially ready..I can accommodate about four trailers with vehicles..maybe five.

First come first served is the way I'll go.

terraplane

Tom, should work out. We've only got 4 signed up for the field parking and I think that's just for trailers.

OBJOYFUL
ODD-A-C
SEA-ESTA
C-DRAGONFLY

George and Penny (WANDERER) will be bringing their motorhome but I think they can probably park at the Marina, Terry AND Mykeal (THE LAST DANCE) will have a motorhome too and do plan to park at the Marina.

Charlie

We could use one or two peoplewith cars on Friday afternoon...to shuttle to and from the launch landing,to McHugh lot, to marina...all withing a two mile distance.
